ETA: A friend had her son at 27 weeks at Stony Brook and he is a healthy 7 month old now. The NICU there is amazing.

congrats!!
My co worker had her baby at 23 weeks....yes, 23 weeks and he is doing very well now at 2 years old! He was just 1.1 pounds at birth. I'm sure that your DS will be just fine! Hang in there

coming from a fellow preemie mom who went into unexpected labor 8 weeks early, I know how you feel & the fear. I can honestly tell you that you will have your ups & downs while your DS stays in the NICU but the Dr's there are the best! In no time at all, he will be home with you. For now, rest up as much as possible in preparation for his homecoming!!!!

Congrats on he birth of your son! Many prayers for him and York family as he hers stronger! My cousin just had her baby in November at 26 weeks pregnant. Her son was 1lb 5 oz and 11 inches long.He was able to come home about 12 weeks later and is now doing beautifully. He weighs a solid 14 lbs already! I wish you all he best on this journey!!

ohh wow!! i had my baby at 33w and she was 3lb 8oz - so 2-7 at 26w is an AMAZING weight. and you were able to get the steroid shots - so he will do well!!! my  spent 3.5 weeks in the NICU. what hospital are you at? tons of luck to you!!

If it helps my friend had a baby girl at 23 weeks and she is doing great at almost 2.5. It was a long haul but, it turned out great.

My SIL had her twins at 26 weeks, they are now 5 years old, very smart, very active...I hope this brings you hope...I am sure everything will be fine.

First, Congratulations! Lots of  and to you guys! Second, SB has an awesome NICU and I'm sure they are taking excellent care of him so be comforted by that. I can't imagine how scared you must be. I hope the rest of his stay is smooth sailing.
