It's amazing what the doctors and nurses can do for the babies in the NICU. He is in the best care!

Wow....... Thanks everyone. I tried to post an update several times, but every time I read all of your posts, I am literally beside myself. A million thanks to every one of you ladies for the thoughts, prayers and encouraging stories They got me through a few rough, sleepless nights.
This has been the most insane and surreal week of my entire life and it hasn't even really hit me yet. I got home from Stony Brook today and obviously Max wasn't able to come home yet. Seriously, the people at SB, particularly in the NICU are some of the most amazing, awe-inspiring individuals I have ever had the priveledge to meet. We have complete confidence in their ability to care for Max. My little fighter is doing good and we are so proud of him He is totally adorable... I can't even take it!! I'm learning quickly about life in the NICU and how our lives will be for a while. Every day, its something... a blood transfusion, jaundice, heart murmur... my head is always spinning but I know that its all par for the course and "normal" for a kid like Max. Hearing all of it rips me apart, but I'm desparately trying to rationalize that its just what he needs.
Thank you all again for everything and I will be sure to give you all the great updates I know are coming our way

Tons of prayers coming your way! A little girl next to DS when he was in NICU was born at the same weeks and she's now a crazy, running around nearly 2 year old, so keep praying strong for your little fighter!!!
