I forgot to add.. a woman that my mom works with. Delivered her baby at 23wks. Yes you read that right, twenty-THREE! Well the baby is now what would be 30s and doing fabolous! Off the vents, gaining wt.. there IS hope! Sending you tons of prayers!
My sophia was born a premie also i went into preterm labor at 29 weeks....ended up having her at 35 weeks. She stayed in the nicu at good Sam....im so glad you got the steroid shot top help with ur Lo lungs....it made me tear up just reading your post when you heard your baby cry...brought me back to the first time i heard my a few weeks ago. Premi babies are stronger then we think ...seeing my baby in the nicu broke my heart everyday ...but they are tuff,just know he is in the next best place to grow and be strong besides your belly. My prayers andpostive thoughts go out to you and your family during this time. Xoxo
I just wanted to tell you that 2 of my family members work in the nicu at stonybrook and I know most of the staff there and he is in the hands of amazing loving nurses that will care for him like they would care for there own children I will pray for him to grow healthy and fast so you can take him home
Wow, that must have been so scary for you. But I've heard amazing things about Stony Brook and their NICU, so I'm glad that's where Max is. He's in great hands.
