Swelling question
When do feet typically swell during pregnancy? Also, for those who have BTDT, were you able to get back into your shoes after pregnancy?
It's definitely too early for me to start swelling up BUT I'm worried about not being able to fit into my shoes afterwards.....

Re: Swelling question
I have friends who went up in shoe size 1/2-1 full size and never went back to their pre-preggo size. This is my second pregnancy and I have never had any issue with my feet changing sizes. However, I have put weight on in my legs and some of my boots don't zip so well anymore. But I know they will be fine when I lose the weight.

Re: Swelling question
I had some serious swelling with DS, I'm sure being due Aug 5 didn't help, but I'd say the swelling started towards the end of May. My feet grew 1/2 a size and never went back to their original shoe size. This time with that doesn't seem to be happening.

Re: Swelling question
My feet started swelling around 20 weeks-but I noticed they are just wide, not longer-I still fit in the same shoe size. They better stay that way!

Re: Swelling question
I had some serious CANKLES going on starting a few weeks ago (I'm almost 21 weeks now) It usually only happens when I eat too much sodium or wear socks that are too tight and cut off my circulation. It's not every day.
But it worries me for what is to come if it's kicking in this early.
I combat it by TRYING to watch the sodium intake- (but that is HARD to do- everything has salt!) drinking extra water and putting my feet up when i get home. Also make sure your socks are not too tight- that is what kills me!

Re: Swelling question
With DD my feet started to swell around 20 weeks.
After pregnancy, my feet have just not been the same. I can no longer wear heels and my feet actually grew. I used to be a size 6.5/7 and now I'm a size 8

Re: Swelling question
With my first pg I didn't start swelling until maybe 30 weeks or so. I was able to get back into my regular shoes within a couple of weeks of delivery.
This time around my right foot started to swell around 18 weeks. Most times it goes down throughout the night. My OB is not concerned. I'm hoping I can fit back into my shoes afterwards.

Re: Swelling question
My hands have been very swollen since the early 2nd trimester. My feet had been ok up until a week or two ago, so I'd say around 26 weeks they started to swell. My toes and feet are wider and puffy, but so far my ankles are ok.
Haven't changed shoe sizes yet, but I think that's going to happen soon, since my shoes are not comfortable anymore.

Re: Swelling question
With my first I swelled starting at like 16 weeks. My feet grew 1.5 sizes and stayed that way. Now with my second pregnancy I haven't had any swelling yet. I am 30 weeks this Friday.

I swelled a lot with DS#1. I did go back down to my regular size. With this pregnancy, I'm not as swollen.

Re: Swelling question
My feet were HUGE when I was pregnant & thankfully it was the summer bc I lived in flip flops. I was able to get back into my pre-preggo sandals & shoes by 2 weeks PP.

Re: Swelling question
Just about 36 weeks and no swelling anywhere. My feet are also the same size and haven't grown at all. I'm fortunately still able to wear heels and wedges to work as well. Hopefully the last 4 weeks will remain the same.
