Totally dependent. If I wasn't around he wouldn't know what to do with himself

He is independent for himself. He has no idea where the kid's stuff is, their schedule, their friends, etc.

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

Unfortunately my DH is very dependent on me. He lived with his parents until we moved out of state, so his mom did everything for him. Even his laundry at age 21. Chat Icon My DH can't seem to do anything for himself and it's REALLY frustrating! I have to do everything or I have to nag him to do things. I just want to give a shout out to my MIL and say... THANKS A LOT!!! Chat Icon

Pretty independent...

he was the baby of his family so he secretly likes to be taken care of. Can do it for himself but is not big on cooking/cleaning. Everything else he handles... I do not buy his clothes. He food shops.

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

i would say hes a mix... hes an only child and his mom never worked... so in that way, he had everything done for him before we got married... BUT, hes been easy to train- LOL- he does his laundry on his own, and hes really into cooking, and does all the bills and stuff... the only things hes not good at is cleaning, so i think that would fall apart- but other than that, i think he'd probably be ok...

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

Well, he knows how to do laundry, cook etc but he does rely on me. For example, I go to class 2 nights a week until 10 pm and I asked him to get a can of coffee and some milk for the morning bc we were completely out..when I got home, of course he didnt get anything and I wasn't about to go back out again!

100% independent, although my house would look like a bomb hit it if I left him alone for too long. Chat Icon

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

He's very independent. He'll wash his own clothes/dishes when he needs to (or when he wants to help me out), he can iron, and he can even handle making himself small meals.

He thinks he's independent, but he is SOOOO far from that it's ridiculous!!! Chat Icon

LOL Too funny. Same here.

But, my DH strongly disagrees. But, then again, I am such a control freak.

He's completely independent. Well, maybe not in the cooking area, but if he had to, he could cook.

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

Very independent. His mother had 3 kids by the time she was 22 and was bascially a single mother all his life. He raised himself most of the time and then he went into the Army.
