Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

soooo dependent, he calls me at work to ask where his wallet or his keys are pretty much everyday.
the weird thing is that at work, he's pretty much in charge of the running of a 400million dollar ship and never has a problem.

If you weren't around would he crumble bc u do everything or is he independent?

Dependent meaning that u do almost everything for him u took over the mom role.

Independent meaning he knows how to do laundry, cook, he knows where things are in the house etc....(although he may not do them now but knows how...)

Both. I mean he knows how to do things..cook, do laundry, clean...doesn't mean he does them. I'm clearly better at domestic stuff, but he's not helpless...getting him to do it is another story!

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

I think mine is becoming more dependent the longer we are together. Now that I'm home and he's working so much and traveling for work all the time, I try to take care of all of the household stuff. Thankfully he truly appreciates it.

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

hes independant

he does his own wash, cleans up nicely and knows how i like things to be.

would he miss having home cooked meals? probably. but the house would look good if i was away and came back. he definitely respects or home and does his share of housework

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

He is very independent. He does most of the housework, so I doubt he'll miss me in that respect.

I'm very fortunate as well. My husband is very independent. My husband lived alone before we got married. He's not only very handy but can do pretty much anything around the house.....not that he does it...but he helps me from time to time especially now that I'm preggo.....Chat Icon

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

My FH has his own condo and lived on his own for 10 years before we met so he is pretty much independant...EXCEPT he is NO WHERE NEAR, the kind of NEAT FREAK that I am and is one of those guys that only cleans when there is company coming over so...if it was not for me thing would be a mess but on the other hand...he is an EXCELLENT cook...Actually he is BETTER than me!

He'll survive, but it's easier for him to just rely on me to take care of everything

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

Completely independent. DH moved out of his mother's house when he was 11 to live with his dad. 20 years of doing things on his own..cleaning, cooking, laundry. He is better than me!

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

Independent. He lived on his own for years, and had to do everything for himself.

He cooks, he cleans, does laundry, food shopping, goes to the dry cleaners, throws out the garbage, etc.

The only thing he'd be at a temporarily loss at would be paying the bills, because that's 100% my repsonsibility. But I'm very organized and do everything on the computer, so he'd be able to figure it out soon enough. (It's nice to be needed, even if it's just for the bills! Chat Icon)

Re: Is your DH independent or dependent

He's very independent. Although, if he lived alone he would probably have his laundry done by a service and eat out a lot!

He would go nuts. I was at the Madonna concert Wednesday night he called me 5 times to ask me where things were. I actually gave him a tour around the house as to where everything is.Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Pretty independent. He lived on his own since going to college, was in the army for 8 years and didn't get married until he was 39. It's amazing, however, how much he has forgotten or even how to find his possessions in 8 months.Chat Icon

He is very independent, in fact more so than me.Chat Icon
But, he is five years older so I chalk it up to his old age; he has been around longer than me.Chat Icon
