He's very independent. He could definitely get along without me. I just have to nag him about cleaning dishes and pots, when he lived with a roomate the stuff would pile up for months, it was disgusting!

I am trying to break the cycle
Jake wanted me to get him breakfast on saturday when I was on my way to brooklyn- I said no- and he made himself eggs
today he wanted me to call and activate his Amex card- and I said no- here is the code- you can do it
it's not the he can't do it- it's just easier for him to ask me

He's definitely independent...he cooks, does laundry, even knows how to keep things relatively in order. However the rugs would never be vaccuumed, floors not swept, furniture never dusted and you wouldn't want to put your hand on the countertops... Come to think of it, I just described the apartment he lived in when we first started dating!
