Whenever someone pays for my coffee in the drive-thru at Starbucks, it always catches me off guard and warms my heart.. especially since I'm the crankiest azzhole in the morning.  Always love to pay it forward! :)

Also, I just put up my tree which was kind of sad since its the first year I'm doing it single. I was really excited about a certain ornament I bought this year and it broke as I was trying to put it on the tree.  I was telling my friend about it and he found me the same one and surprised me with it that night! It was so sweet. :)

Random Acts of Kindness Thread
I posted on the positive posts thread but recently someone left me a note on my windshield to let me know my inspection was expired. Very kind, especially since when I first saw it in thought it was a ticket!
I tried to help another mom this morning who was clearly having one of those days. I offered to watch her youngest in the waiting room and help her with her stuff while she wrestled her other child to the car who was not cooperating to say the least.

That's so sweet!
We went away with friends recently. My friend has been working so much since she got back and just asked if I can share the photos I took since they only had a phone and we also took our camera. When I was making our album I realized we are together in a lot so I just made them a separate one, but added more pics of just their family in it. I dropped it off at her house the other day and surprised her. She was so grateful!
Not recently, but love that my son in Kindergarten got a letter from a boy's mom in class that didn't speak and wrote how even though the boy doesn't speak in school he talks about my son all day at home and how nice he is and he's his best friend. The boy was drawing pics of them together and my son was writing back to him. I made a playdate with them at a local park a few times. I know the family had a lot going on and their son not talking was also difficult. I just loved that my son didn't even think that he was any different and just included him all the time when playing. They go to separate schools now, but my son is still the same way and tries to be friends with everyone.

We started something last year with DS - for his allowance, he puts $1 in the "helping others" jar and we put in $1. At the end of the year he decides what to do with the money. He really loves his buddies (stuffed animals), so we went to Target to buy a bunch plus paper towels and cleaning supplies, and we'll donate it to The Ronald McDonald House this weekend.
He was super sweet about it. He had to personally hug each buddy to make sure they were lovable enough for the kids that are going to get them. :)

Way to go Mama! That is such a great idea and your son is so sweet!! I think I may adopt this in our house.

This was about 6 months ago, but I was waiting on line at Dunkin and they were taking forever. Started chatting with woman in front of me, just general commiserating. We got to registers at same time and she bought me my coffee! Made my day and week!!!

Is a kind word an act of kindness? last week I was tired and stressed and was given a patient 15 min before I was trying to leave the office. All i wanted to was rush and finish. After speaking to her, out of now where she tells me how beautiful and amazing my eyes are. All I had on was mascara. All day I thought I looked like crap, that kind word made my day

Ok, I hear this all the time and I want to know what Starbucks is patronized by all these good samaritans. I have NEVER seen this and didn't know it was even a thing until LIF.

Anonymously Bought a WW2 Veteran and his wife Lunch at Applebees. They were the cutest little old couple, I hope they were surprised when the bill came.
A different day me and my mom saw a homeless man in Burgerking. He was sitting inside and soaked from the rain. He had his belongings in a Plastic bag outside and what appeared to be a military back pack. His head was down and he looked so sad and cold. Me and My mom talked to the manager and said he stops by all the time to warm up and he is always very nice so they give him free coffee. So we bought him the gift card with $50.00 on it and walked over and said Merry Christmas.
He said thank you not knowing what It was. When we got outside we watched him open it and see the amount and he grabbed his head and smiled and cried. I will never forget the look on his face. I tear up thinking about it. 
I struggle with my bills every month, I don't buy myself anything unless I have to. But when I can do something for someone who has it worse than I do or I see an old veteran they tug at my heartstrings and I will do what I can for them. I honestly wish I won the lotto because I would love to every single day start my morning doing something special for someone. The feeling I get from giving to those less fortunate is such a beautiful and emotional experience. I really do think everyone should do this at least one time in their life. You will not regret it.

Random Acts of Kindness Thread
Sometimes moms see me struggle with the steps bringing my children to class. They offer to take my children down to class (2 sets of steep steps)In return, I offer to hang out with their other babies in heir cars, esp. when it rains. I have a hard time accepting help, and it makes me feel better when I can do something for them.

Thanks but DH gets the credit for coming up with the helping others jar. :) DS just turned 7, and usually thinks about his own money all the time so I was so happy to see him excited to shop for someone else.

That's so generous of you! I sometimes think about doing stuff like that, but I feel so jaded about not knowing who is truly in need and who's just scamming people.

There was a older man maybe 90 or so at the stop and shop in front of me on line. He had a few things along with a box of Entemanns cake. Seems like he couldn't pay for it because he told the cashier to put it back. I paid for it with my stuff and then chased him down to give it to him. He was so grateful.

In my sister's town (oos) they have a free board to give away things you no longer need. Someone posts the first weekend of every month that he is available to help people with anything they need free of charge. BIL is taking advantage of the much needed help to unload their moving trucks next weekend. Such a generous thing to do every month!

I am so happy to see this thread today...
Yesterday I was at my local dollar tree with my kids. We were out for a walk and have no intention to shop, so all I had on my was one credit card and my license. Of course my kids want stuff from there so we go to pay ($7 worth of stuff) and my cc gets declined 3 times. I call discover right then and there knowing i shouldnt be declined, and they tell me they are not declining the charge, the charge is not even being processed that the stores cc machine must be down. We tried again a few minutes later from another register and same thing happens, so I say forget it and go to leave. A man two people behind me said its only $7 I will pay for your stuff. I told him it was not necessary (bc really i did not need 7 more pieces of dollar tree junk at my house) but thought I was going to cry at how sweet it was for him to even offer.
It is so nice to know that there are still good people out there
