OPK or Temping
I want to be a bit more "active" and involved this cycle, so I am planning to temp. However, I'm wondering if instead of temping, I should just bite the bullet and buy a CBEFM and use that instead? What do you guys think and use?
TIA.

Re: OPK or Temping
I started using OPK but have not yet started temping, although I would consider it down the road. I didnt want to have to worry about waking up the same time every day and it seemed like more of a hassle than OPKs. I use the wondfo cheapies and they work pretty well!

OPK or Temping
Both
I used CBEFM to predict O and temping to confirm.

Re: OPK or Temping
One more question -- what's the benefit/difference between buying a fertility monitor over the ovulation test? The monthly ovulation tests seem cheaper to me, but I guess that's only in the short run?

Good luck! It can take about 1-3 cycles for it to get used to you so don't freak out if it's not working. It does work for some people right away. I followed this BD schedule - every other day from the first high reading, then every day for 3 days from the 1st peak reading. Also, after the 2nd peak day, the monitor goes on "auto pilot" so it will automatically drop down to high, then low. You do not have to waste sticks after the 2nd peak reading.

Thank you!! This is great to know. How many days would you say you had a high reading before a peak reading?
