temping and opk question

this is my first month temping and using an opk....i got a positive opk reading on Sunday and my temp also spiked that day. i was curious so i decided to test with the opk on Monday and i got another positive...and my temp remained high... BUT this morning my temp went back down?

has this ever happened to anyone?
i know your temp spikes after ovulation and that the opk only tells you are about to O so the spike that i saw had nothing to do with O'ing?

the temp spike was probably unrelated. if this is your first month temping the "spike" you saw pre-o may not actually be a huge spike compared to your post-O temps. for me personally my post-O temps were always higher than any of my pre-O spikes. good luck!

ETA - for some people the temp dips on the DAY of ovulation. so if you got a +OPK on the day of the temp dip, you may be Oing today!
