If my husband and I are with the girls and I want to run into a store and not drag everyone in I tell the girls this store is adults only at night, morning whatever time of the day it is. Last week we went in to dollar tree together and they said oh its great they let kids in today.

I told my kids that children aren't allowed on Aruba. Lol

I told my DD there are no kids allowed in Disney.

I kid, I kid. But I spend hours trying to figure out ways to never go and still have her grow up to be a normal, well adjusted child.

My second watches way too much TV. I threaten my first with Cookie Monster if she doesn't behave. I forget to give vitamins a lot.

I never went to Disney as a child and it has never once come up in my therapy sessions!! Chat Icon

I'm guilty of a lot of these, the worst being that F*** is my favorite adjective and I find that if I pour myself a drink right before I put the kids in the bath they don't get yelled at as much as when I try to bathe them without. Chat Icon

I told my DS Mickey was on Vacation. Another time I told him Chuck E. Cheese was sick. I forgot I told him and he asked months later if he was better. I was so confused.

Recent -- I have no clue what time he wakes up on Saturdays.

Re: Mommy confessions

I think all of mine were already mentioned (which makes me feel much better about them. haha).

- I don't really have a limit to TV and electronics. It's not all day, but definitely more than a "good" mom would probably allow.

- she's 4 and I still insist on nap time! I need a break! She does still sleep a lot of the time, but even on the days that she doesn't I still leave her in there for a bit and call it "mommy time" where she can either sleep or read quietly to herself.

- if we're too tired, we'll skip her bath. She ends up really only getting them 2-3x a week unless she's particularly dirty. I bet I'll have to step it up once Pre-K & dance class starts though because of all the germs she'll now be carrying home with her.

- I've stopped making her good nutritious dinners. She's way too picky and won't eat anything I make, so I don't make the effort like I used to. Just whatever I can get her to have. Some nights she'll just drink a pediasure and I'm like "Whatevsss"

Mommy confessions

I go back to work on Monday and I CANNOT WAIT. I love my kids more than anything but after a summer home with my 4 yr old, my 2 yr old, and my now 5 month old twins, I am on the verge of becoming a major alcoholic. And that was even with my 4 yr old at camp 5 days a week for the the entire month of July. Today I put the twins down for their afternoon nap, they sleep for about 2 hours, and I sent my boys down to the playroom in the basement, told them they could not come upstairs until their sisters were awake, and got in 2 episodes of Teen Mom 2.

Mommy confessions

My kids don't have baby books. We just take pics and video and go back to figure out milestones.
Sometimes, they eat breakfast at 9:30 and lunch at 2:30
Sometimes said lunch is a ham roll-up with cheese doodles organic...like that makes it better
If they derail my day the poor baby gets the shaft. He loves the shaft because he's free to roam the family room floor and ow through Legos
I go to King Mullen or the dentist for a vacation Chat Icon

Mommy confessions

I let DS eat almost half a package of cookies today at Target. Whatever keeps him quiet and allows me to get stuff done.
(And yes I bought the half eaten package of cookies!)
