Im a hot mess 24/7. My house is never clean, my DS has had food that has dropped on the floor and we have a dog....they dog has probably even licked his food.
We are all healthy and happy so who cares is my motto!
Pretty much the same except we only have cats. And we all eat like shit. And she gets snacks in the morning sometimes. And we aren't so diligent with teeth brushing. And I drink a lot.
DS had a cookie for breakfast!
I gave two of my kids ice cream for breakfast last week simply because I just didn't want to fight with them about why they can't have it for breakfast.

Re: Mommy confessions
DD doesn't nap, and I'm pregnant, so when I just need an hour to myself I sit her in front of the iPad with earphones. That way I can get away with an hour of trash TV to relax.

I'm guilty of almost everything posted so far minus the cat/dog ones.
I'm in the best shape of my life because the babysitting at the gym is $1/hour and when I can't stand to be around my kids another second I go to the gym...needless to say I go often

Re: Mommy confessions
Love this thread! Lol
I could probably write a book at this point. I put my kids above everything, DH, work, myself. I need more balance in my life and to make my relationship with DH a priority and to take better care of myself.
We don't limit electronics in our house. Sesame Street is helping raise DD.
My house is always a mess. I would be mortified if someone stopped by unannounced.
I don't cook. My mom makes dinner for us a lot and we rely entirely too much on take out. We also give DD too many sweets.
We didn't sleep train DD and are now paying for it big time.
If we're tired, we skip DD's bath. It also took us a while to get into a teeth brushing routine, but we're trying to get better.
We put DD to bed late, both at night and late afternoon naps. Sometimes close to 11p this summer between work and my now done pregnancy. Trying to get her down earlier but it's hard because she has so much energy and just wants to keep going.
I spend entirely too much $$ on the kids, esp clothes.
I don't have a lot of patience with DD, which makes me feel like a terrible mother. We butt heads a lot and DH says it's because we have the same stubborn, impatient personality.
I'm supplementing with DS. I can't keep up with his appetite and breastfeeding for hours on end with an active toddler is virtually impossible. Feeling pretty awful about this.
Working mommy guilt. The WORST!

Re: Mommy confessions
I'm currently potty training DD, and she's been doing great. But tonight I took her in to a public bathroom at the mall and I guess I didn't set up her little travel potty seat correctly on the toilet, because it slipped into the toilet with her on it She was kind of traumatized and refused to pee after that so I had to put a diaper on her. And she was doing so well with training. I hope this doesn't set her back too much and that she won't be scared of public toilets.

Mommy confessions
These make me feel A LOT better! Let's see what I can add to this....
DS drops F bombs like its nothing (thanks DH!!) There's days where he only eats grilled cheese and nothing else Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is always on When we go to a restaurant, after about 15 minutes or so out comes the iPad I often forget to brush his teeth and wash his face in the morning He wears a pull up to bed and sometimes he will wear it for an hour or 2 in the morning simply bc I'm too lazy to help him change into underwear.

Re: Mommy confessions
They are some days where I'm literally counting the minutes until they go to bed and they've only been up for a few minutes! The bickering, the whining, the messes.............some days I'm just not in the mood. There is nothing better than kids in bed after a long day, from 8pm on it's my quiet time and I REALLY look forward to it.
I don't care if my DS throws his utensils on the floor in our house, I just pick them up and give them right back. Sometimes the dog has gotten a lick before I pick them up and I still don't care. He's still alive and healthy to tell the tale!
I totally lie to my kids about toys being lost or broken simply because I don't feel like taking them out and dealing with the mess. Same goes for movies I'm sick of watching OVER and OVER again................sorry kids, the movie is broken too!
I wasn't feeling good last week and just wanted to lay on the couch SO my kids ate chocolate chip muffins for 2 out of their 3 meals and killed a bag of Goldfish crackers in between that day. I totally didn't care, if it meant a few minutes of peace to relax and feel better I was all for it.
If I know we're not going out all day, I've sometimes just kept them in pj's all day. Why not be comfy if you're stuck home?
I have a potty mouth, I try to control it but sometimes when I'm really in a pissy mood I've been known to sound like a truck driver.

Mommy confessions
OMG I LOVE THIS THREAD!!
My house too is a constant wreck and my laundry piles are out of control. DD and DH think their dressers are laundry baskets. I hardly cook, I hate cooking and we have no ac in the kitchen so eff that! TV is pretty much on as soon as we get home. I too enjoy working and have never felt "guilty" for bringing my daughter to daycare. DH is way more patient then I am especially wioth bedtime routine. He will rock that girl forever to get her to sleep and I am like 10 minutes and done! DD still takes a bottle to go to bed and I am ok with it. DD also goes to bed way to late.. We are a happy family though!

Re: Mommy confessions
I'm counting the days til summer break is over, and I work with MIDDLE SCHOOLERS...
She's had macaroni nearly every single day for lunch this summer. Not whole wheat, no added veggies. Just carbs.
She's had italian bread and nothing else for dinner on certain occasions.
I remember her vitamins maybe once a week.
I keep forgetting to brush her teeth.
But she's happy! We are happy!

Me too! This is my second week back and I couldn't be happier. I'm thrilled to know the date, the day of the week and to just not stink because I actually shower daily now.
DS does not have a bed time. He goes in when we do and that's because he has refused to go into his own bed. We wait for him to fall asleep and then carry him to his room. Since I was tired and pregnant and now I'm tired because I have an infant, I can't be bothered sleep training. We are a bedtime disaster.
DS fights me to wash his hands after he uses the bathroom and sometimes, when we are at home, I just give in because I don't have the fight in me.
On work days, sometimes I have to consider a yogurt tube, squeeze apple sauce and a cheese stick the breakfast of champions for DS.

My 5 yo lately has been watching uneducational shows lately on Disney Channel - like Liv & Maddie, Girl Meets World, etc. It caught her attention and I got my rest.

I confess that I was actually looking forward to coming to work this morning....
OMG me too. I am due any day with #3 and questioned that decision all weekend!!!
glad I'm not the only one!
When I got in today I told my coworker that I can't wait until my 2 night "vacation" in the hospital
While pregnant with #3 (#1 was 3 and #2 was 22 months) I dreamt about my 2 night hospital stay!! I dont know what I was more excited about meeting my son or getting a sleeping pill and sleeping through the night.

I LOVE THIS!
My girls wanted chips and salsa for dinner last night and they go it. I did not feel like cooking and my DH was out so I said sure you got it.
If my husband and I are with the girls and I want to run into a store and not drag everyone in I tell the girls this store is adults only at night, morning whatever time of the day it is. Last week we went in to dollar tree together and they said oh its great they let kids in today.

Mommy confessions
Dd watches way too much tv. I let her eat breakfast on the couch more than I'd like to admit. Cleaning is not my priority. I don't strap the baby in the high chair bc I hate having to clean the straps so I just took them out. We skip baths when dh and I are too tired. Dd2 is 9 months old and I could count on one hand the days I've actually gotten around to feeding her 3 meals in a day.

confession:
I never tracked the major milestones for my kids. Like when they first smiled, got their first tooth, etc. I only go by estimates.
And I never took monthly pics of them either.
