We don't limit electronics in our house. Sesame Street is helping raise DD. Chat Icon

Same here - the first thing DD asks for when she wakes up is Abby and Elmo Chat Icon I also put it on for her when I need to shower.

The other day my father was watching DD while I was at work. I came home on my lunch break and he was out at the park with her. He texted me to tell me where they were if I wanted to go meet them....I took a nap instead Chat Icon

We often forget to brush teeth - and by forget, I mean I don't do it because I'm not willing to fight with her.

My almost 3 yr old says "what the f*ck" while playing with her toys, or just to get our attention.

She watches way too much TV
She did have a cookie for breakfast yesterday

I'm home with them all summer, and I'm at my wits end. I have no patience left and I'm always fighting with dd. After reading this thread I might start drinking!

Mommy confessions

I feel way better after reading this! (After the bottle of wine my DH and I just drank). I do feeding therapy with kids and yes it's important to do s family meal especially if you have a picky eater but it's so much better putting my DS to sleep and then having dinner by ourselves.

Totally agree! We try and have family meals but after 5 minutes the 3 year old gets up and walks around, the 2 year old is feeding the dog and my 1 year old is throwing food at me. What is the point when we can have a nice meal when the kids go to bed? I put them to bed early and complain that they are up early but my time starts when they go to bed.
I am late to everything, EVERYTHING, I am never on time. It always seems that someone has a dirty diaper the second I get them in the car and back we go. I sometimes change their diaper in the car in front of the house.
My daughter was found in my backyard in the sandbox half naked. She had her shirt, shoes and socks off and was playing. I can't anymore. The TV goes on at 6:30am and recently on a trip to Target we bought 5 new DVDs.
My 3 1/2 year old is still not potty trained, I don't have the patience to fight with him and he has peed on my couch and Im done. Last week my daughter pooped on my floor and peed on my floor. I just laughed. This is my life.

Re: Mommy confessions

All I do is yell. All day. My kids eat like shit because I'm too tired to fight to get them to eat better.
I'm constantly telling them to just go play on their I pads so at least I know I'll have peace and quiet for a while. (Even though the TVs on and Ipads are on full volumes)
I used to be better with watching the language I use around them but the other day I walk out of the kitchen and I see my 5 yr old writing with a sharpie on my 4yr Olds leg. I said "what the **** are you writing on her leg for?!" To which she responded "I'm not writing on her ******* leg I'm writing on her bandaid!"
I didn't even argue with her because I just don't care anymore lol
I can't wait for school to start next week!

If my husband and I are with the girls and I want to run into a store and not drag everyone in I tell the girls this store is adults only at night, morning whatever time of the day it is. Last week we went in to dollar tree together and they said oh its great they let kids in today.

Some of these are hysterical! Chat Icon

Sometimes I am too tired or too lazy to give DD a bath everynight....but hey, she's in the spray park at camp almost everyday, so I figure that counts for something!

Ipad is on way too much at times....but if it keeps her quiet for an hour or so while I have things to do, so be it.

You want chocloate fudge mini muffins for breakfast? Knock yourself out! I have no paitience at 6:30 am to argue over breakfast.

Counting down to Columbus day and Veteran's Day when she is is pre-school all day and I am off from work. I get to be home.....in peace!!

Have to add, I'm a SAHM but tell my DD that "Mommy has to do some work" anytime I want to email/browse the web on the iPad. She knows "work" is an important thing, so it's the only time she isn't up my ass.

Re: Mommy confessions

DD is away for the first time (with my parents) and I had the best morning in years! Forgot how nice it is to have a morning to yourself.

I always tell her something is closed or not for kids if I don't want to go or have her go with me.

Bribery is a beautiful thing. I gave her money (coins) for just getting out of bed, getting dressed, letting me brush her hair, etc. the other morning to avoid the usual battles.

I have been known to get out of work early and NOT pick her up early.

TV or kindle is used way too much to give me some sanity.

Cookies or candy has been breakfast on a few occasions.

Love this thread! Lol

I could probably write a book at this point.
I put my kids above everything, DH, work, myself. I need more balance in my life and to make my relationship with DH a priority and to take better care of myself.

We don't limit electronics in our house. Sesame Street is helping raise DD. Chat Icon

My house is always a mess. I would be mortified if someone stopped by unannounced.

I don't cook. My mom makes dinner for us a lot and we rely entirely too much on take out. We also give DD too many sweets.

We didn't sleep train DD and are now paying for it big time.

If we're tired, we skip DD's bath. It also took us a while to get into a teeth brushing routine, but we're trying to get better.

We put DD to bed late, both at night and late afternoon naps. Sometimes close to 11p this summer between work and my now done pregnancy. Trying to get her down earlier but it's hard because she has so much energy and just wants to keep going.

I spend entirely too much $$ on the kids, esp clothes.

I don't have a lot of patience with DD, which makes me feel like a terrible mother. We butt heads a lot and DH says it's because we have the same stubborn, impatient personality.

I'm supplementing with DS. I can't keep up with his appetite and breastfeeding for hours on end with an active toddler is virtually impossible. Feeling pretty awful about this.

Working mommy guilt. The WORST!

I could have written at least half of these myself.

Me too x100! So glad I'm not alone

If I need a break and I can't go to King Kullen or the dentist, I put them into their high chairs to watch long netflix cartoons and I go down the basement to do "laundry" a.k.a. Surf the web

Mommy confessions

Confession:

The first couple of times while changing DS diaper he sprayed me and I slipped and said "oh shit". Now my DD who will be 2 years old tomorrow says it everytime I change DS diaper (sprays or no sprays).

I told my kids that children aren't allowed on Aruba. Lol

I told my DD there are no kids allowed in Disney.

I kid, I kid. But I spend hours trying to figure out ways to never go and still have her grow up to be a normal, well adjusted child.
The thought of Disney makes my skin just crawl!

I told my DS Mickey was on Vacation. Another time I told him Chuck E. Cheese was sick. I forgot I told him and he asked months later if he was better. I was so confused.

Recent -- I have no clue what time he wakes up on Saturdays.

Omg... This is hysterical!
