Grudges

Are you a person who Hold Grudges or Do you Let them go after a while? There is a co-worker at my Job who Just get on my nerves! He came in one morning because he had to cover for a person and we had to share the same table to make sandwiches/desserts and he complained to the boss that i would not give him a extra cutting board which there was only 6 boards on the table and i had three and he had three but three was not enough for him. So my boss said to give him the extra board and I was p-od at him But i forgave him for the first time than he did it again to me recently and he was like you forgive me right sweetheart? Ummm No and dont call me sweetheart. I have no respect for him.and he just started at our building in September. But normally he works in the afternoon so its works out that when i leave he comes in.So Yes I am still holding a grudge against this guy.

Not over the cuttingboard Just the fact that instead of coming to me and talking it out like adults he goes to the boss!

Re: Grudges

Depends on how serious the offense is. Little things I let go, larger issues I tend to hold onto but then move on. Although, if it was really bad, I always have it in the back of my mind.

I wouldn't hold onto it. I'd just tell him that next time he could talk to you about it before going to the boss. I can see how it can be annoying but don't let it get to you.

Re: Grudges

i never hold a grudge anymore in my life..takes too much energy and thought from me..if someone wrongs me in a big way I just simply disassociate myself from them..but like I said..it has to be something huge to make me do that...

I don't hold grudges but if the person isn't worth my time then I really can't be bothered with them.

Re: Grudges

I never hold grudges. Certain things I might not have forgotten but life is too shirt to waste it holding a grudge.

No, I dont hold grudges.
I do agree with the other ladies...Over a cutting board? Kind of silly IMO. I see your point about him going to the boss..Again, silly.
I would be the "adult" in the situation and just let it go.

Re: Grudges

If someone insults me or my family, I will probably hold that grudge forever. I don't forget and I don't forgive either.

But some people already know that in my family..Chat Icon

Re: Grudges

depends on the situation, who the person is and what the situation is... I try not to...but to be honest, there is "a friend" who really showed her true colors to me the past 2 years..and I am angry with her and hold a grudge a bit, but to be honest I dont include her in my life except when she "has to be"

It needs to be serious though- I dont hold grudges over little things, not worth the effort
