I do sometimes. A can of soup, or grilled chicken, or leftovers (although we usually don't have them lol).
DH always takes his meals to work. I pack him a cooler bag. Pretty much the same thing every work day (he has 12-hr shifts).
Omelette with canadian bacon String cheese Almonds Grilled chicken with feta and sundried tomatoes Roasted chickpeas

Re: Do you take your own lunch to work?
I work 4 days a week, so usually 2 of the 4 days. Mostly leftovers.
I need to come up with ideas myself because I do a lot of field work and don't end up bringing lunch on those days............it can be costly and unhealthy.

Do you bring the entire salad already chopped and made to work or do you assemble at work? Just asking because I feel like it doesn't stay fresh. What exactly do you put in?

Re: Do you take your own lunch to work?
I bring a sandwich on Monday or Tuesday, since I do food shopping on Sat/Sun and the cold cuts won't stay fresh much longer. Then later in the week it's Lean Cuisine (stock up when they are $2 each), cans of soup, or leftovers. I also bring all my snacks and breakfast.
If I buy lunch out it's cheap, cup of soup, veggie slice of pizza, etc. Occasionally I'll spend up to $8-9 for Hale and Hearty soup and salad!!

Re: Do you take your own lunch to work?
I do mostly left overs, when we are cleaning up from dinner I will separate them into individual lunches so then I can just grab and go in the AM.

Re: Do you take your own lunch to work?
I make DHs lunch for him...I"m a SAHM lol.. but he usually always gets leftovers. I laways make enough food for 4 people, when there's only 2 of us. Serves us both as lunch the next day LOL. If we went out to eat, or just didn't have leftovers, usually I make a cold cut sandwich with carrots on the side. LOL

I know this question wasn't meant for me, but since I pack salads for work, I figured I would answer.
I chop up my salad the night before - I pack the croutons separately because otherwise they become mushy, and of course I don't add the salad dressing until just before I eat the salad.
Here are a couple of the salads that I make: (1)baby spinach, shredded carrots, cucumbers, golden raisins, goat cheese, grilled chicken and croutons.
(2) baby spinach, goat cheese, dried cranberries, grilled chicken, walnuts.
(3) baby spinach, fresh grated parmesan cheese, hard boiled egg, grilled chicken, chick peas, croutons
I usually use some sort of balsamic vinagrette or a low fat creamy dressing.
