Do you bring lunch to work?? (poll)
If so, what do you bring?
Every night i make lunch for me and for DH . I usually make myself a turkey or tuna sandwich, strawberries, and some hummus and celery.

Yes- most of the time, it's leftovers from the night before. I keep a few LC French bread pizzas and Smart Ones on hand for days when I didn't cook the night before.
The lunch pickins' in my neighborhood at work are slim so I always have to bring something.

Usually leftovers from the night before. If I don't bring something, I always end up eating stuff that's bad for me.

DH usually has leftover from dinner the night before (I dont eat leftovers), and I will bring a salad with fresh mozz, roasted peppers, etc.
Or sometimes I bring tuna, no bread. I never buy my lunch, too expensive.

Most of the time- and it's always the same thing-
I have boca burgers int he freezer at work, and I bring Lite bread and fat free cheese, lettuce, and tomato. And I keep fat free pringles and all sorts of other snacks at my desk.
Fridays, we go out for liquid lunch.

yup- i do... usually a sandwich of some sort, an apple, a diet soda and maybe some pretzels or something..
DH doesn't bring his lunch, but i try all the time to get him to.... we'd be saving like $150 a week probably

We do. It saves sooo much money. Plus, now that I am pregnant, I eat smaller meals and nothing really appeals to me, so I like packing things for myself.

Typically either leftovers like pasta, soup or chili. If not then tuna w/ salad or cold cuts and cheese. I leave a frozen meal in the faculty room freezer and a box of cereal in my classroom in case I don't have any food from home. I usually go out about once a week.

Most days I bring. Probably 4 out of 5 days. I'll either bring a Boar's Head turkey sandwich with a 100 calorie pack of pretzels or Doritos or yogurt and a banana.
When I worked in the city I bought lunch every day, but it was always between $8 and 10 with a sandwich and drink. My best friend worked one block over and we used to split sandwiches from the Amish deli (delicious!) but it was still pricey.

usually left overs from the dinner from the night before.
or my favorite lately is eggplant parmesian - i'll make it on sunday and put it into single serve containers and freeze them. yum!
