IMO... they all smell after a while, I just throw the diapers out in my kitchen garbage can, so I can get rid of them every night.

ITA and same here. I get the baby powder scented bags from BRU and wrap the poop diapers before I throw them out.

after hearing others say it's not worth it, we did not. We are going the old fashion way of just throwing it out in the outside garbage.

I registered for the Diaper Dekor. I was not sure if I wanted to use a system or not b/c I have heard some people say that they smell, but I asked my sister who has taken care of classfulls of infants in daycare (that's a lot of diapers!) and is now a private nanny for someone w/ 2 little ones, and she swears by the Diaper Dekor....when she talks, I am all ears.

I didn't register for a diaper genie or anything like that. Why keep the poop diapers in your house? Just throw them outside?
I never understood how that thing worked anyway.

I have and have been using the Diaper Dekor for 21 months now. I love it!!!! And after an experiment that I did by mistake, realized it really does work.
I forgot to put new bags in and I kept putting diapers in it. Then I went in there yesterday and his room stunk.  Def don't forget to use the bags

I wasn't going to at first but ended up registering for one. I got the Diaper Champ. We have a 2nd floor apartment so I probably won't want to run downstairs and outside after every dirty diaper.

We had one....it started to stink....we threw it out!
We use the diaper bags and put them in the outside garbage can throughout the day.

We have this and love it. You don't need to buy refills, just use normal garbage bags.
At night when we change diapers instead of leaving them around because I am NOT going down stairs to throw them out, we put them in there.
It doesn't smell at all.

I like our diaper champ. It takes regular garbage bags and it great about keeping the odor in! We empty ours every other day!

I agree too. I just bought these little scented disposable bags from BRU and will dispose the diapers in them and then toss in kitchen garbage and take them outside every night. I do not want them in the nursery.

I havent registered yet, but I do not anticipate this being an issue because DH will be changing ALL of the poopy diapers - I'll let him decide how much he can tolerate. Isn't he lucky?
