Just looking for facts here because I see a lot of references to Clinton and Monsanto, but I don't really see any real connections from unbiased sources. Is it just the donations made by Monsanto to the Clinton Foundation and the fact that her law firm represented the company? For me, that's not enough of a link. Is there something more?

No way in hell would I want any vile person such as Hillary win this election.
Trump is no saint, and I know we can all agree on this, but honestly, if there wasn't so much Trump bashing on these boards, maybe we would be able to voice our opinion on why there is so much support for him without the attacks. And YES, there are plenty of those.
Every political thread on here is full of Trump hatred. As much as there is hatred for him, like it or not, Hillary is hated just as much. Its just not expressed as much on these boards. It should come as NO surprise, given the success Trump has had in the primaries so far that this race is as close as it is.
Whether you support Trump or Hillary, this race is close and it is going to get VERY interesting to see how this all plays out in the coming months.
I also dislike all of the vitriol being spewed by all sides. I definitely prefer seeing discussions based on what the candidates have said, and what their policies (both posted, and spoken) are. Purely based on the research I've done on impartial websites, and what I've heard and read of each candidate, Trump's plans are either non-existent, impractical, show a lack of knowledge, pandering, or he flip-flops so often, you can't tell what his plans actually are. Hillary is definitely no saint, and I don't agree with everything she wants to do, but I think her plans are more thought-out.
It does take a lot of time and research to actually figure out what each candidate stands for, and both parties and candidates are just spewing hatred and skewed information.
In the end, BOTH candidates are in it for themselves, BOTH are pandering to whatever audience they are speaking to, BOTH have grandiose promises that will never get past Congress, BOTH are going to help the Upper Class. The general population is screaming at each other and hating each other over whether it's better to be hanged at the gallows with nylon rope, or cotton rope.....

But Trump is financially invested in Monsanto, and directly makes money off of their success. Clinton has no direct ties to Monsanto, so he is much more interested in continuing Monsanto's progress.

Wall St, Monsanto, Big Pharma etc donations to her "foundation" is enough for me to question her judgement and who's interests she really has at heart! I know this problem is bigger than just her, though she is playing the game. Citizens United must be overturned.
Tell me why she won't release the transcripts? Watching her try to squirm her way out of those questions shows me what a practiced deflector she is.
I will NEVER vote for Hillary Clinton. I will NEVER EVER vote for Donald Trump. I will be writing in Bernie Sanders or maybe vote for Jill Stein. I need to do some more research on that. I believe those who do not take big money are free to truly represent all the people of this nation. and corporations are not people in my mind.
I don't get the idea of voting to block a candidate from winning. Why not vote for who you believe will do the best job? There is better than Clinton and trump. Though I think our system has to move beyond the two party system.
And I will say, I am shocked people are voting for trump. He's a racist, misogynitstic reality star who is woefully uneducated about how the government actually works! Yet he wants to be the head of the government. Vote for who you want, and sorry if you're offended, but I just am saying I don't understand the thinking.

I don't get it either. Why give someone you don't like your vote?

Yes i think this is also a big reason people are voting for him- Trump is self-funding his own campaign so he doesn't have to answer to anyone... with all of these corrupt politician stories coming out lately, this may appeal to voters.
I'm sick of hearing this lie. He is NOT self funding his campaign, no matter what he says. He has spent next to nothing of his own money, and also gave a "loan" to his campaign.
Of course, it would be amazing to have someone in office that isn't backed by some big, evil corporate money. But, if someone is going to vote for Trump solely for a reason like that, they are pretty uninformed. The man wants to DEFAULT on our loans, like the US is a casino in AC.
Trump has been on the other side of the corruption for YEARS. He is the guy who lines the pockets of politicians so they do what he wants. So, is that any better than the politician that takes the money? NO!

Trump is not self funded he is taking loans from himself that are being paid back with donations.
He makes money off of Monsanto.
Again people's dislike for Hillary is so strong they make connections that are weak at best into reasons not to vote for her but when you look into actual facts a lot of the things that Hillary is accused of ( some of which are true others that have some truth and still other just fabricated and repeated enough people think it's true) trump is actually guilty of himself.
I would respect someone saying I'm a republican and won't vote for a dem more than I do people regurgitating fabricated stories.

I respect that and you didn't offend me at all. It is clear this is an issue that you feel strongly about and you have done your research. I applaud that. For me, I feel strongly about protecting women's rights.
I feel, for both candidates, that people find a hook and try to make a something a mountain out of a molehill.
For me, campaign and charitable contributions, and paid speeches do not bother me. Both Trump and Clinton accept huge payments for giving speeches (as, I expect all other candidates do), their time and, if people are willing to pay it, I don't see why they shouldn't accept it.
Clinton is far from perfect, but I think she gets a bad rap based on her gender. For example, Trump rips her for her husband's infidelity but he himself cheated on his wife. How do people let him away with stuff like that? In short, because she's a woman, that's why.
I also perplexed by his "goofy" remarks about Elizabeth Warren. Does he make similar remarks about men that don't get the same attention? I'm serious about that. I found the attached list, which is impressive, but haven't done the math on men v. women. Nonetheless, this guy is not presidential.

I keep saying I can't vote...I mean I guess I will, but I am totally undecided. I dislike Hilary for a variety of reasons, but most of all I am pro life. My Husband is Military and has given me a lot of insight on trump as the commander and chief. He is very scared as a member of our military and our country. I will not close my eyes and vote for one over another just because I feel one is less evil. If I have to stay home that day I will, I am very undecided, I just want to be true to my own beliefs. I will probably vote Jill Stein, but I can't vote for the "less of two evils"
* just to add, I was at a huge party this weekend, The ENTIRE table is voting for Trump. I was shocked at the responses at the table. We didn't debate, we just talked. I think people are really underestimating Trump in this election.

I know the poster said no comments but I have read them all and I can tell you from what I have heard from news shows and papers and people is that Trump gets things done. That is why people are drifting towards him for POTUS. They feel politicians are all talk and nothing ever changes.
One example was that Guiliani told the press that Trump wanted an ice skating rink in NYC. He wanted that spot. He did not give up until he had it. It sounds like he is very persistant, he must nag and nag and nag until he gets his way. It seems to work though as he is making millions and millions.
Again, I am not a Trump fan nor a Hillary fan but just stating from what I have heard just for a little back up of why people are voting for Trump.

Yes. Last year Bernie Sanders did give several paid speeches: Three (3) speeches where he raked in a total of $1867. The top paid speech was $850 to appear to the Bill Maher show. Bernie gave ALL of that money away to charity. He is transparent as a window. (Ok, i will admit I love the guy.)
Hillary's fees for paid speeches to the healthcare industry over the past couple of years totals 2.85 MILLION dollars. Now really, how can you compare?
I get what you are saying about the double standard. I truly believe trump is an anti-woman sexist. But not everything people say about Hillary is sexism. I'm a feminist and I can't stand her.
I agree we need a woman in the White House. It's more than time. I just do not believe she is the woman we need or deserve.

Hillary Clinton June 2014 at her keynote address at the BIO international convention in San Diego Ca expressed her enthusiasm over gmos. She is PRO GMO. Pro round up weed killer injected into the DNA of what you eat. And worse, no official labeling so you don't know what is safe and what isn't.

And
I'm voting for Trump to avoid voting for Hilary.
I feel like if there was another viable candidate they'd have a real chance.
So much voting based on "lesser of 2 evils" from what I can see.
