Need a rec for new dr. who delivers at Stony Brook or St Charles
Hello, I have a 14 mo DD and am currently TTC for #2. I know this is early but I want to get ideas for a new DR. I delivered at St. Charles with my DD and I loved it but I did not have a good birth experience with my DR. So I am looking for a good DR who would deliver at St. Charles or Stony Brook. I live in Centereach. TIA!!

I see Dr. Gus San Roman in PJS. He delivers at St. Charles..Love him and the whole office.

Dr. David Reavis in Patchogue/Holbrook area....he is amazing!!! I go to him and so do several women I know that have had children, and they love him. I know for sure he delivers at SB...not sure about St. Charles.

thank you but San Roman is who i used. My birth exp was not good with them And I think it was just me cuz everyone I know that goes there loves them. But lets just say they didnt believe I was in labor...sent me home from the hospital with some serious meds. They told me to come back to the office that night...I went and was 8cm. I guess cuz I was not screaming and progressing fast enough in the hospital they didnt believe I was in labor. Sorry...vent over...lol

Wow! Sorry you had a bad experience with them. I absolutely love Dr. San Roman and Michelle so that was going to be my recommendation.

I use Dr. O'Keege from OBGYN StonyBrook. They are fantastic. There are a few other Dr's in the practice. They deliver at Stony Brook only.

so sorry you didn't have a good experience, I was going to recommend Dr. San Roman as well
wanted to add my friend loves Dr. Earhardt (spelling?) I think he is on 112 in Pt. Jeff Station. He delivers at St. Charles

I just switched to Dr. Jerry Ninia in port jeff station, he mostly does deliveries at St. Charles, and can delivery at stonybrook. He has an NP Cecilia who is also very nice. Island OBGYNs it's called. It's right off 327 just past 112.

I see Dr. Porte in this practice but also like Dr. O'Keefe and Dr. Welischar.
They have offices in E. Setauker, Rocky Point, and Sayville.
Can't say enough good things about this practice. DS#1 was delviered by Dr. Porte and now expecting DS#2 whoi will be delivred by him also.

I LOVE them....Cecilia rocks. Make your appointment with her. You won't be sorry. I had three kids with them.

this is where I go as well. LOVE them. I see Porte, Lochner or O'Keefe.

I had a really good experience with them with DS. Dr Davenport delivered DS. She's awesome! All of the doctors there are great!

Hi there... I switched from Dr San Roman in PJS at 12 weeks for a variety of reasons. I now see University Associates in East Setauket. Because im having twins, I see the high risk doctors so I cant really speak for the regular OBs but I love the office and my doctors. I have heard great things about the OBs and they also have a midwives practice you can see too if youre interested. Good luck!
ETA- They deliver at Stony Brook...and fyi Stony brook supposedly is set to open aa new NICU and labor and delivery rooms. I believe they already opened their new post partum rooms. I'm excited for this!!

I use Dr Erhart in PJS. He is wonderful!!
We have the same dr and due date. They moved mine to the 26th and I haven't changed it on here. Wonder if we'll be in labor together.

I go to Suffolk OBGYN. They have an office in smithtown (a lot less croweded) and an office in Port Jeff (busier, try for a night appointment) The deliver at St. Charles. I have seen a few of the dr there. You have to see all of the ob's bc unless it's a scheduled c-section, you wont know who will deliver the baby. They are all really nice.

I used San Roman's office with my first and switched for this pregnancy to Dr. Erhart. Michelle Mayer delivered my first...I love her. But I am very happy to have switched. Dr. Erhart is wonderful and so is Dr. Tufano. I had issues with the office and how certain things were handled at San ROman's office and didn't care for one of the dr's either.
