peditrician rec assoc with St Charles or Stony Brook
I'm due in August and wanted to start looking for a pediatrician in my area. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
Dr. name?
Where is the office located?
How many drs?
Office hrs if you know?

I go to Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine in Holbrook. They also have offices in PJ, Wading River, Shirley, and one other I can't think of. They were also the ones who came to see both my DC in St. Charles when I delivered.
They are a fairly big practice and I know there are mixed feelings on here about them, but I've been very happy with them, and I try and have DC see the same doctor every time they go.

There are 4 doctors. We originally went there to see Dr. Benitt since he was so highly recommended, but we have seen them all and love them all.
I don't know the hours off the top of my head but we never had a problem getting an appointment. We've been there early, late, on weekends, etc.
They are flexible with vaccines too.
The only negative I can say is they don't take credit cards.. we had an FSA debit card so we wanted to pay with that, but they don't take credit. Have to pay with check or cash.

They are fabulous! The wait is never long. They are on Boyle Rd in Selden...They came to StCharles when DD was born and Stony Brook when DS was born... 3 drs in the practice- we usually see Dr. Leonard- but the other two are just as great.

I love Dr. Berman at Mid-Suffolk Pediatrics. They are affiliated with St. Charles and they have offices in both Islandia and Mt. Sinai. I also love that they are open 7 days a week. It's a great practice, I am very happy with them.

Not sure where you are, but we use Dr. Walker in East Moriches...It's Stony Brook Pediatrics...so, obviously, they're associated with SB.

That's where we go too! I generally see Dr. Benitt, and am happy with him. Never a problem getting a quick appt., and so long as you get a morning appt., never a bad wait.

I do go to the Riverhead office (I used to live out in Ridge) I love this office because it is soo small and I have never had to wait! They don't overbook (I usually get the early appts) Dr. Hansen is thorough ~ she takes her time with you ~ I have never felt rushed... She really cares about her patients and what is best for them! She is affiliated with Stony Brook. (plus I love the nurses too)
Dr. Hansen is the only Dr in this location

we use them too...we don't like some of the drs there but dr berman, dr hofilena, dr manners and the pnp tracy manners are good with us and our girls!! the seller for us was not only the 7 days that they were open but also that the islandia office had a pharmacy too thats open 365 days a yr!! (knock on wood we've never used it so I can't tell you about it!!)

We see Dr. Uy and she is in Rocky Point and is definitely affiliated with St. Charles. I'm not sure about Stony Brook. She is great. It is only her and 2 NP's. I have always gotten immediate appointments and hardly wait when we have appointments. She is kind and caring and always follows up after we go in for a problem. I can't recommend her enough.
