playdate etiquette
So a friend had a Bday party for her DD. We went and I became friendly with another mom (a friend of my friend throwing the party). She invited me and my DD over today for a play and I accepted. Do you think I need to call/email my friend to tell her? In the past we normally do play dates with our DD's and I know she does them with this women too (separately) so I don't want my friend to think I am going behind her back now.

Re: playdate etiquette
If it comes up in conversation, I'd say something of course, but I wouldn't go out of my way and call her specifically to tell her. To me that sounds like you're making sure that's okay with her, which is silly.

I wouldn't call her to say hey I am going over so and so's house for a playdate. But if it came up in convo I would say I was.

Re: playdate etiquette
Or the next time I saw friend #1 I would say oh I saw/ had a play date with new friend. And talk about them. I think it's silly to have to mention it.
