Playdate etiquette?

I never had an "official" playdate before. If invited over someone's house, do you stay or drop them off? And if you stay, do you offer to bring something?

Re: Playdate etiquette?

It depends on the situation...

If you are going over with the intent of hanging with the mommy while the kids are playing, then I would bring something.

If it's just a drop off.... I would say drop off and go enjoy your baby!!!!!

Re: Playdate etiquette?

When Jack has playdates they are always with my friends so we obviously do it to see each other.

A group I have playdates with - we have a rule - if the playdate is at your house you get the bagels and whatnot and take care of everything. So we are all buying food once every three weeks (we rotate)

If I was going on a random playdate I would def. stay at Andrews age and I would bring something also (maybe cookies, munckins, donuts, muffins)

Is Andrew independent with the potty? If not I would expect the mom to stay.

I would think you'd stay with him, normally for about 1 1/2 hrs and bring a box of munchkins or some kind of snack....

I stay, gives me more time to gossip with the girls and drink lots of tea! I bring a sweet sometimes, but we have so many playdates, that these days we just bring ourselves.
