I contacted Geico (not writing on LI anymore), Liberty Mutual (writing but with a lot of restrictions that I didn't qualify for), Travelers (too high), Hartford (competitive but the broker was a jerk), a broker (too hight) and finally settled with State Farm for home, auto, umbrella and jewelry policy.
Not sure where you're looking but Jimmy Winters Jr. (of Jimmy Winters State Farm agency) on Lake Avenue in St. James has been a dream. He's been really helpful and supportive, and was always available to talk or email.
If you do contact him, FM me and I'll give you my personal info so he knows I referred you.

Allstate said they werent doing new policies
Liberty Mutual was $$$ (we live about a mile from the water (NOT in a flood zone) and thats why they said it was high  )

I use to have State Farm then we switched to Metlife because the rate was better & DH got a discount through his union. He also has automatic payroll deductions for both Home Ins & Car Ins.
