holy crappers - ours is $1700! We got quotes from a bunch of places and most were over $2K!

Our mortgage broker said Suffolk is higher for some reason. What a rip.

Mine is higher than most on the boards here and I wonder why. Most of the other quotes I got were over $2K too. I'm in Nassau and my house is brick and 80 years old! I can't figure it out.

I wonder why too! We do have a newer house, but we are double (more than double) what alot of the other posters are paying. Seems excessively more. Chat Icon But we priced around, so what can ya do?

Re: How much do you pay for homeowner's insurance?

You really need to take a lot into consideration when you're comparing your premiums....
Limits
Forms
Location
COPE info...
etc., etc., etc.

It's not comparing apples to apples.

Yours shouldnt be..you are in the town of Oyster bay and In nassau.

Yes, take all into consideration..not all offer the same.
A bank can also make you take more coverage than needed which also increases premium.
