We use State Farm and are paying a lot less than $1500, but it depends are a number of factors. Be careful with TSC Direct, they only go up to $300k for liability protection, which IMO in not enough.

I def think it is enough!! We were advised by many to only do what it would cost to rebuild our house which is not even close to what we paid for the house. I think many people are way over insured.

We have an umbrella anyway on top of thatChat Icon

Is that for home and car?? That seems rather high. We didn't do replacement over $300K and we're paying under $1K.

I wasn't referring to the amount of coverage for the house, but the liability protection. Granted, $500K or even $1mil isn't a lot either if someone were to sue you, but $300k is the bare bones type of coverage.

That's why we have an umbrella policy too. We are still saving over $1000 a yr.

Allstate. I compared them to State Farm and Geico and they were all about the same. However, Allstate gave me a much better rate for car insurance than the other two so I went with them.
