When interviewing a pediatrician....
Do I literally go in there with a pen and pad with my questions ready to fire?? I feel like if I don't bring my questions & don't write down his answers...thanks to my baby brain, everything will go right out the window....
what did you ladies do?

Re: When interviewing a pediatrician....
i personally didn't.
i didn't "interview" mine--i just wanted to see what kind of vibe i got from him and his office. i only asked questions about the office--their hours, what happens after hours, how often appts are, policies, etc. some of these lists i've seen have questions that i don't care to know the answer to or don't find relevant for my child--like "what is your philosophy on xyz"
pick a few questions that you need to know the answer to to help make your decision. see how he responds and how you feel.

Re: When interviewing a pediatrician....
I went in with a list of questions, and crossed them out as I went (casually of course).
I didn't write down answers unless it was something VERY important.

Re: When interviewing a pediatrician....
I totally did!! My DH thought I was a psycho but I needed to have all of my questions answered and I would have definitely forgotten some if I didn't have it written down. Luckily, our ped answered almost all of my questions before I was able to refer to my notepad!! I guess that's why I only interviewed one ped!

We didn't - and since you are near me, I suggest you go straight to Dr. cavanaugh at Huntington medical group - the guy knows his stuff - he is awesome and is used to being interviewed....

Re: When interviewing a pediatrician....
I had a list with me in my bag but they talk first...when he was done he asked me if i had any questions so i took out my list and had only 2 quick ones to ask that he didn't go over.

Same here! They pretty much know what most people will ask and they hit the answers before you ask, mine did too and thats why they were my first and last interview.

Almost the same here. I had my list in front of me and pretty much all of my questions were answered before I asked them. I didn't write down the answers because I knew what I wanted the answers to be and he was in line with all of them.

Re: When interviewing a pediatrician....
At what point are you suppose to start looking for a pediatrician? I am obviously newly pregnant and this never even crossed my mind! Guessing you should have one BEFORE the baby is born...huh.
