Honestly, not much at all! Isn't that incredible? Such a big difference on the outside but not much on the inside.
We added a bedroom for one child which is 10x12 - so a decent size. And our master is now quite huge (about 275 sq ft) but that's about it. And the 7ft of attic space is huge for us b/c we don't have a basement.

Re how long it took - it was 10/1 that they started. They started with the porch.
We moved upstairs 12/14.
It wasn't all their projects. They worked, then we'd have to wait for an inspector. Then we did the floors on our own (my uncle owns a business so we trusted him to do them).
And DH did the painting. There are still some painting projects left (doors) but that obviously didn't stop us from living in the rooms. He does it when he has a spare moment - which is next to never 
We were very happy with the contractors.
Colin was born 10/30 - so clearly we had a bit of overlap which s ucked at the time - but we're over it, it's a distant memory now
