While I do undestand your point on the first one, I would like to say that I can't see how someone couldn't understand how someone else COULD get offended by it.

i honeslty didnt think that video would cause drama, i was shocked to see it pulled. now we are discussing why it may have gotten pulled. i dont see the problem with that.
people have discussions and disagreements about pulled threads all the time.

Jess, didn't something, maybe some bell, go off in your head wondering why it got pulled? Why post a thread containing the content that got pulled when you could have sent a message to Ron or Kim asking? Didn't you think there was SOMETHING in there that someone (perhaps even Ron or Kim themselves) found to be inappropriate for this site?

i started a thread asking why it got pulled, youre right because i was confused. i thought i was going to wake up and everyone would be lauging at it.
i posted the link for kevin. then went to edit out the link but it was gone.
now, we're discussing it here. no drama.

well i am not homophobic, so i dont find gay men as offensive.
the video was a joke, it was a funny jokey song.
i can see how a burning cross could be taken as offensive, but if it hadnt been there i bet ppl would have enjoyed it, laughed, and it wouldnt have gotten pulled.
i honestly find alot of photos and such posted on here as offensive because they are just that, MEANT to offend, this wasnt meant to offend, as it was a joke.

I think anyone who is not offended by a burning cross has either been living under a rock for the last 50 years or is just very desensitized to the violence and hate that exists in the world.
I find this generalization offensive. 
Seriously- I am not offended by a burning cross. Because I am not black, and was never persecuted for my race, especially in the 1950s in the south.
But I do think it's a strong, reaction inducing, symbol, that is bound to get under some people's skin. I don't see how Jessaroo should put put up on the proverbial cross for posting something potentially offensive- almost everything on Earth is potentially offensive to someone.
And I really think some of you are out of line for attacking her for posting a "why was my thread pulled" thread. I hate those as much as anyone- but she is certainly not alone- they are ALWAYS posted. You guys attack everything she says or does. We get it, you don't like her.

You are right, had that not been there maybe it wouldn't have been offensive. But like previsously stated, the video was done by a black man. Can you honestly tell me that a black man does not know the symbolic meaning behind such a reference?
Also, if you find what others post pictures of as offensive, why not speak up about it? The way others learn is if and when someone teaches them...it's how we, as a society and as a person evolve.

I am not attacking Jess. I like Jess as she has been very helpful to me in the past. Do I agree with everything she says? No but I certainly don't hate her.
As for the swastika, as I learned watching Tom Hanks in the Davinci Code. The swastika was not always a symbol of hate but due to WWII the way that sign is generally interpreted as certaibnly changed. Just ask anyone from Europe who at the time was of Jewish decent.

yes i find things offensive on here fom time to time but i dont speak up about it because
a) i have a live and let live mentality for the most part
b) its often im in a minority and somethign i find offensive, 90% of the rest of the ppl on here would not
c) if i DID speak up how i thought somehting was offensive it would be taken as "jes is starting drama" everything i do is starting drama. i cant win with half the ppl on the boards.
