Does anyone watch that show? Does anyone else find the agent reallyyyyy annoying?? Ugh she pisses me off...lol

Yeah she doesn't bother me but I do get SO annoyed by the buyers who are don't like the house because one of the walls is pink or something inane like that.
I also about what you can get for your money in other places but that's my issue not the show's

I agree. Sometimes she can come off a little snotty, but it's usually only with buyers whose expectations are for the sun but their budget is for a lightbulb.

I actually kinda like her! DH makes fun of her accent alllll the timmeeee... I feel like I've actually been learning alot from shows like this!
One question though: Is it common practice here to try to get the seller to pay for closing costs?

YES!!!! I find her very annoying too.
She's not too bad as a person....and does know her stuff...but what drives me NUTS is the way she says "house"....that just annoys me the way it sounds with her accent!

We watch this show everyday. I love it. I think Sandra is great, but those buyers are sometimes waaaaay out of touch with reality.

I don't think so, but maybe in this market you can get away with it.
I didn't understand the reasoning behind this, but now I kind of t it: You make a higher offer to the sellers and then ask for closing costs, it's like getting the house at a lower price, but this way you keep more in your bank account since you don't have to shell out an extra 5k (or whatever the closing costs are).
I think people around here are more likely to have them rolled into the mortgage and just bid the price they want to pay for the house.

I just feel like she is pushy...she def knows her stuff but when ever a buyer wants to low ball shes always negative about it, you never know they might accept it!

it depends on the market. down here in the DC area, it is very common to get seller consessions of 3%. we got 3% and it covered all of our closing costs and pre-paids. in the end, we only had to put down our down payment!

love this show, and i find the buyers more annoying than her,
they expect the craziest things, like someone else said, the paint color or carpets, wouldn't you change those things yourself anyway???

In florida is very common for the seller to pay for the closing cost
