here's an article on his gay-bashing accusation. Yes, it was just an accusation, but he wasn't acquitted, his lawyer struck a deal. Again, they could have found someone much better than this kid to be a role model.

And while I understand the thought that a student might be more comfortable speaking to a teacher who has "partied", there are plenty of teachers, counselors, etc in my school that kids talk to about personal things and think are "cool" without knowing that type of stuff about them. If a teacher, in fact, did reveal that type of info, which hopefully they wouldn't, that teacher would more than likely be out on their ear!
unfortunately the duke lax team will never have that luxuary- they will never be able to put this behind them if people keep judging them
that's a pretty crappy way to start out your adult life
