Jack was acting nutso because of him recognizingi Desmond.. which brought him back to the time when he saved his ex-wife in surgery, and obviously brought back some anguish about the fact they are no longer married..
It all has to do with the fact that Jack is a man of logic and Locke is a man of faith... Jack finds it hard to TAKE that Leap of faith, which he was sort of forced to do tonight
As for Hurley.. he believes the numbers are cursed, hence the rason he freaks out everytime he sees them , etc.

Nope, I think the creators of the show already said that this is a rumor but there is NO basis of truth to this type of 'twist'
they have said everything that happens on the show can be proven by Sciene, none of it is "fantasy"..although that does seem far fetched..thats what they said
Interesting....
Then maybe that is the answer to the battle of Man of Sciene v man of faith

I love Sawyer. He is the hottest person on that island.
I totally agree that in the coming attractions you hear Jin speaking perfect English. When I heard that I was kind of like "What the heck?"
This show is like that good book that you don't want to put down, however, they need to have less commercials.:

there were some major complaints to the network about the advertising being so much longer then other shows, and in other countires the advertising is half of the US...I agree!

Well yeah Jack was acting CRAZY but I still thinks there is more between him and Desmond than meets the eye.. I think if I were on this island for all these days and run into some guy in a hatch that I actually KNEW from my 'previous life' i'd be freaked out too!!
Hurley has tried to explain the numbers.. he told Jack.. Jack didn't believe him... once Jack heard the part that Hurley was in the mental institution, he didn't buy Hurley's stories.. he said "they were only numbers"

He did tell Charlie on the beach I dont think Charlie believed him, HE told him only that he won the lottery....
