No way! She was sent down there to see who they are...I am sure the people from the back end of the plane have had run ins with the"others" and thats why they hit first ask questions later

Yup- the who show is anyone's guess. I can't wait until the end when the reveal it all!!!
ETA: This is froma person who stayed up until 2:00 am to get to the end of a book to know its ending.

I don't think Helen is the girl from the phone. That was a sex operator who befriended him, I think. And the guy in the window didn't look like Locke's dad, but maybe he is Shannons? She came from a lot of money!
