DH or I will both do it, but I normally fold and put away. Having laundry downstairs waiting to be washed bothers him more than it does me so he is always throwing in a load.

same here. i nearly strangled him yesterday (good thing I calmed down by the time he got home from work). The ONE thing I ask is to make sure his pockets are emptied. I don't have time to be checking pockets when I have a crazed toddler un-sorting the laundry faster than I can pull her away.
SOB left TISSUES in his pocket...
no fun to discover after the cycle has completed.
the man cannot be trusted with anything laundry. period!

I've asked Fatthead a 98435894354839 times to check his pockets before putting his crap in the basket. Almost 10 years later I still go through them because he leaves shit in them. Doesn't bother me so much when I find a $20 or $100

I do it mostly that is because I'm home. Dh does do laundry on the weekends if need be. He certaintly knows how to do it. His mom made all the kids do their own laundry at 12 yra old.

I mostly do it because there are several things of mine that I don't dry and he can never get it right. If he needs something done of his he will do a load of his stuff and towels etc.
in all fairness I have never once taken the garbage to the curb.

Let's talk laundry...
We live in an apt and have to do our laundry in a laundromat so we both do it. I have done it myself only if I go to my moms house to do it...or he has done it himself at times as well.
Maybe it would be different if we had our own washer and dryer...but won't know until that is the case. lol

I prefer doing my own laundry - DH tends to shrink my clothes.
If his laundry piles up and I haven't gotten around to it, DH will do his own, but I usually do it because he works full time and I don't.
I always wash the kids clothes but if I asked him to, he would.

Laundry's a painless task for me so I prefer to do it. If need be DH will do it as long as I walk him through how to use the machine! lol (he's done it a handful of times in 8 years). He always helps fold and put away, though.

Let's talk laundry...
I used to be the only one who did the laundry. But then I sprained my ankle really bad and I was on crutches. And since our washer/dryer are in the basement...DH had to do it. I was really nervous about it but he did a pretty good job after awhile. Now 2 years later, he does most of the laundry. Go figure!

we live upstairs in a coop so we have to take the laundry downstairs and to the laundry building (which is open and in individual parking lots. Since the laundry would be done at night and for practicality purposes, DH does most of it. Smaller loads of DS' clothes I will do. If we lived in a house with a w/d, I would do the laundry (but I would expect DH to help out from time to time).

Let's talk laundry...
DH does the laundry most of the time... Our laundry room is in a dark basement down a super steep flight of stairs so unless it's daylight out I am scared to go down there alone We split up the folding of clothes. Typically I fold our sons and he does ours.

I do it but I'm a SAHM. He will carry the baskets up for me and move it around if I ask him to. If I'm folding laundry at night he'll sometimes help as well. Even though DH works full time does a lot of the other household chores so I'm happy to do this one.

Let's talk laundry...
I do the laundry because i actually like doing it and i dont trust DH to know which of my clothes dont go in the dryer and get hung up to dry. He does his load of workout clothes though...and it takes him at least 2 days to get through the one load.

I will sort the dirty laundry and bag them up. DH takes them to the laundry mat and wash them. We fold and put them away together.
I usually stay home with the kids sometimes if I can get my mom to watch the kids I will go with DH and help him at the laundry mat.
