Internals
I had an internal last nite and .....OH ITS BAD! I felt like his hands were in my throat. He would have been better going through my mouth...would've been closer! Today I feel like burning inside that didnt end from yesterday. anyone experience this?

Just to set your mind at ease a little, I've never found my internals to be painful. Granted, they're not exactly pleasant, but it's not too bad. Just stare up at the ceiling and wait for it to be over.

I agree. I have had 3 so far, none of which have been painful.

I agree. I have had 3 so far, none of which have been painful.
Hope you feel better.
could it be that I am 34 weeks and some of you are 36plus? maybe my babies still too high that its more painful...I dont know but this hurt BADLY!

I haven't had one yet. I go for my visit on Monday - I know he's doing the strep b test, but he didn't say anything about an internal. I'll be starting my 36th week - should i expect one?

I would put money down that you are getting an internal as well. Usually they start at 36 weeks. Good Luck

If its Mckenna then he** yeah it hurts.....I wouldn't see him at the end of my 2nd pregnancy b/c I knew better

LOL....its TOTALLY MCKENNA!!!!!!!!! How did u know???? Hes such a nice guy but I think he reached my throat! Who should I go to?

McKenna has football players hands!!!! I've only had one internal from him and ughhhhh. Rubin's hurt as well, but I still love her. Paone was the only one that wasn't so bad.......

I never thought the internals were that bad either, but I believe I can chalk that up to my doctors being pretty gentle about it. I do believe that is the difference as to why some girls experience pain from them and some dont -- it depends on whether your doctor is aggressive or not about it
well that is, up until my last internal (the day I gave birth) -- that one was horrific because I found out later she was trying to strip my membranes
yes I would say that you'll get an internal at every appointment now

Mine haven't been bad at all either. I've been having them throughout the pregnancy to check for cervix "issues." So maybe I'm just used to it.
