does he have anything on you? have you done anything with the baby? my friend had PPD she put her baby in the closet and would let anyone in... her DH was able to use that in court he got sole custody..
btw he remarried her and had another baby.. they are still together.
No Aeriell... I was just miserable.... there were days that I couldn't muster myself to get into the shower or take care of the house like I normally would.
But I never EVER EVER have or would mistreat my daughter.... She is my heart captured in a 25" body.... she is smiling and laughing constantly. If anything proves anything - her smiles when she sees me proves that her life is good.

You are going to be okay. Stay strong and don't let him or anyone else make you uncomfortable. Just remind yourself that you are VERY strong-you took your beautiful baby girl out of a bad situation across many states to bring her back to your family and safety. I call that strength! Take deep breaths often and think of her little face. It will all be okay, and over shortly.

stay strong - he is abusive - i cant see how how any court would grant him custody, regardless of PPD

Re: If you could keep us in your prayers tonight....
Ok, a few things... PDD is temporary and not permanent so I do not see it being held against you BUT you are also living with your parents, no? Your defense...."Yes, I suffered from PDD but I have it under control. I am currently doing very well since we split" Also, did you see a therapist? Maybe they will order you to see a therapist. WHo knows...I find the probability of taking a baby away from its momma VERY slim. I had mothers when I worked on the psych unit do VERY bad things that werent PDD. Never did they take a child away from the mother. They got the mother help. Maybe even monitored. I swear...I'd be VERY shocked if Kristina were to end up with him. Unless of course there is more to the story where he can prove harm. Doesnt sound like you harmed her. AND even with that they want marks/pics etc... Not to say that this was you.

ITA. No doubt the courts will see that. I cannot see in a million years the courts agreeing to take her away from her primary caregiver without some serious evidence - hospital records, doctor's observation or police report.
If you can, be as FACTUAL as possible. Write down dates, his actions, etc on why you left. It is easy to get highly emotional when it comes to your child. Walk in knowing that he is going to lose this battle.

First of all You and your daughter are in my prayers.
Secondly, PPD cannot be used against you.
I was going to say that. PPD is a valid medical condition. As long as you addressed it properly he has no claim.

Chances are he won't get your DD. He may be awareded joint custody though, which is very common these days. If that happens, make sure you tell them you want joint custody with you having physical custody. Are you taking a lawyer with you ?

Summer , how does that work if hes in Vegas and shes in NY? I mean i would NEVER ship my baby to someone in Vegas and I DEFINITELY wouldnt want to go back to Vegas with him there? I am assuming he would have to come to NY with supervised visits?

I believe the court decides no? Like doesn't the court say the resident is xxx and you can't live xxx miles away from each other?

Joint Custody with her having physical custody (or vice versa) just means that they have to jointly make decisions regarding the child. Joint custody with shared custody means they split the time. They are two separate things. I didn't realize that they were in separate states. Did the OP just take the baby and leave? Where is court, here or there? If she just up and left with the baby, that could be an issue. He wouldn't be required to have supervised visits unless he didn't something wrong same for her.
Disclaimer: I'm not a lawyer..just know all this from my own personal experience, a lot of research and working in a law firm
