Re: I am having a really hard time with this decision.
I would not donate them to anyone. I just could not do it. Nor to science. That would not sit right with me. So I would either use them or destroy them or rack up a bill to keep them.

Re: I am having a really hard time with this decision.
i have 8 frosties.. we will likely need them in the future so they are on ice for the time being.
i will likely give them to science if i end up with leftovers, but not 100% sure yet. if i were you, i would keep paying to have them on ice until you come up with a solution that works for you. i cant see making any of these decisions if you aren't as sure as you will ever be. also, you said you are young, and SOOOO MANNNYYYYYY congrats on getting pregnant on your own (that is my secret wish after DD was an IVF baby) but no matter what think now you just never know if a time will come in the future where you may need them, i would continue paying the fees.
when Dh and I filled out the initial paperwork it asked how we wanted to split them should we divorce. none of the answers worked for us so with the RE present we wrote in that it would be decided upon divorce proceedings...

I would not make your decision yet ~ give it a couple more years. If it were me I think I would probably donate them to a couple who cannot conceive there own child. Good Luck

at 26 - keep storing them.
Life will be SO different in 5-10 years. You may want another child and the benefit of those frozen embryos will outweigh the cost of storing them all these years.
Or you'll be able to make a decision that you can be at peace with.
so happy for you getting pregnant with your 2nd miracle baby.

Tough decision.
I would probably just keep them forever.

Re: I am having a really hard time with this decision.
Thank you all so much for your input.
At this point, I think i've decided to hold onto them until I am 100% sure we are done having kids. Like many of you said- who knows what the future may bring. If we end up needing them for a third or even fourth baby, that baby will absolutely outweigh the expense of storing them.
Thanks again, so much!

Re: I am having a really hard time with this decision.
Such a hard decision and I am not in your shoes so my opinion is worthless but if it were me I would go with #4.
I would never destroy them, I would feel uneasy about using them for science, and I dont think I could donate them to someone knowing they were ours. (maybe thats mean, but I feel strange about that).
I would pay to store them.
