Why am I having such a hard time
finding a pediatrician? It's no that I haven't gotten a couple of recommendations, I just don't know what to do from there.

It's a big decision -- your thinking about who you want to trust your new little one's medical care to. Don't feel bad  You may find, in fact, that your first choice isn't who you stick it out with.
Meet with a couple and see who you feel comfortable with. Take it from there.

I've gone through 2 pediatricians before finding someone I really liked. Not to worry, you'll find them soon enough!

I am not up to that stage yet, but when the time comes, I just plan on going on my Healthcare providers website and looking for ped. in my area and I guess make phone calls from there. I do know I want a female dr. and someone close by.

Get on it though Marcie, you need to have a ped's name when you give birth. The hospital will ask for it
No pressure It's not like the one you choose you will stuck with forever, but the baby should see a ped within the 1st week of his/her life.

I feel like I am being a bad mommy already.
i did a bad job picking my OB and actually listened to my mother when it came to a pediatrician. i looked up my old pediatrician who my parents LOVED, and signed up with his practice. even though he is semi-retired, it sounds like he has mentored his staff. people who think alike tend to stick together so i am hoping that i'll have just as good of an experince with the new docs as my parents did with mine.
if at any point i do not feel comfortable with them, i will switch!
