How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
Just curious... how long did you wait? Where did you vote?
I live/voted in Manhattan and I waited a little over 2 hrs.

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
I was wondering this myself. I am trying to figure out how I am going to do this with a toddler. I absolutely can not sit on line for 2 hrs with her.

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
No line... I walked in and right up to the counter. Took me under 5 minutes to vote.
I live in south FL so I was actually shocked to see no line since all my coworkers who voted early (the last few weeks) waited at least 3 hours in line!

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
I'm not sure I can spare 2 hours to stand on line today... it's just not feasible with the hours I am working today. I am hoping that by tonight it will have calmed down....

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
There were two separate lines where we voted, based on whether you lived North or South of a certain line. Our line was basically empty - I waited 3 minutes on the wrong line before they made the announcement about having two lines. Then I walked right up to the table when I realized I was on the wrong side. I then waited maybe 2 minutes for someone ahead of me to exit the voting booth. The line for the other district was about 15 - 20 minutes long at least.
This was at 6:30am. We were in and out in no time!

That's the trick! Let everyone else vote early and wait on lines and then when the time comes for you to vote on election day you breeze right through! I love it!

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
I'm in Wantagh. We have 4 polling places (I think). There was no line at mine. I spent more time at the PTA fundraiser table than I did voting.
ETA: DH went around 6am, I went around 10am. Neither one of us had a wait.

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
went in to vote about 8:30 this morning. It took the ladies longer to find my name in the book than it did for me to park, vote and leave
I have to give them credit though....my mom is working the polls today. She was out the door at 5AM and doesn't anticipate being home until 11PM. Supposedly once the lines close at 9 (I think), they are to bring the existing line inside the building and then lock the doors, so it could go on for an additional hour or two

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
I voted in Suffolk and waited about 5 minutes. But then an old lady yelled at me bc I was about to enter the "wrong" booth. Well, maybe one of the 4 helper people could have told me where to go instead of standing there with their head up their azz.

Just came back - 20 minutes in Suffolk. The line was long, and it was also due to there being just 1 machine!!

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
We were in and out in 15 minutes. The poll worker kept forgetting to press some button at the back of the machine between people, so that took a few minutes of arguing between voters.

Re: How Long Were The Lines Where You Voted?
I voted in CT. It probably took about 20 minutes. We used paper ballots here. The longest line was the one to submit the ballot.
