I think so - at least that's where Yellow Top Farmstand used to be. I cannot believe new construction in that area - regardless of the nightmare road that is 347 - is going for less than $600k - especially in this market.

They aren't, I stopped there with my mom one day and looked at the model. They are starting at $850K and they are on very small plots.
ETA: They are beautiful though!! Just a little out of my price range!!

they weren't at the beginning of the year. AND i would expect that number, if it is true, to drop with the tax increase that they are expecting

having your backyard as friendlys or a graveyard isn't appealing to me

You can get a nice mobile home in amityville or riverhead for that price too.
Then you dont have to worry about moving, if you want you can move to new locations every day...Just hook the mobile home up to the back of your car, and drive away

The other one doesnt- thats probably why the land is so big---- they need all those trees so the owners have somwhere to do their 'business'

It is totally not worth fixing up and selling...that area is nasty...besides, I would bet that that is a typo and the house is 300K.
ETA - Actually, if it were really 30K it might be worth it cuz you could probably get 290K in that area for a clean house...I'm not sure though.

I didn't mean the area, I meant the houses themselves. I wouldn't want to live right off 347 like that either. Especially not for 800K.
