Green Acres Mall
I have to return something to JCP - the closest to me is Green Acres, though I usually go to Roosevelt field.
I remember years ago Green Acres wasn't such a great place to go at night ... is that still the case?

Not a good place. My BIL is a cop over there and says the crime is bad.

It's a lot better than it once was (IMO).
I think it's fine. The parking lot near MAcy's/Applebees seems to be the most populated and well lit.

My DH too! The 5th right? They must know each other.
DH said it is not good there either.
Funny cause I grew up in Rosedale and was at that mall when I was young all the time. Wouldn't go there now, not the best with a lot of car breakin's and shoplifting

and i also think it used to be worse then it was...
Last time my brother went there (about 2 months ago) they stole his seats right out of his truck. You shop where you feel comfortable. I don't feel comfortable there. Even though it's not Baghdad.......

I haven't been there since high school. But I've been told that it was worse then (in the late 80's, early 90's) than it is now.

I am at Roos Field constantly, alone, and never once have I witnessed anything crime related, or felt unsafe (I am not disputing there's crime there, I know there is!). I would even go to RF alone at night, you just gotta park near an entrance to the mall in a well lit area.
I personally would not go to GA alone at night...maybe (just maybe) daytime but I would chose many places over GA.

I grew up in Rosedale. I worked at Green Acres for years especially in the early to mid 90's when I was a teenager. I haven't been there in years but I heard it got better than it used to be.
