Does your house have a garage?
If yes, how big is it? (one car, two car..)
If not, do you wish you had one?
I grew up upstate and EVERYONE has a 2-car garage. I've never owned a home before, but am used to it from growing up..just looking for some input

Two car garage attached to the house by a breezeway. Love it. When we were house hunting we wanted a house that had at least a 1-car garage so it worked out.

Our house does not have a garage. Keith and I just moved from a house with a garage and we honestly used it the day we moved for a garage sale and that's it. We miss the extra storage room but it's not at all that serious.

2 car - attached...
...but, DH's tractor is the only occupant at the moment.  My Excursion is too big, but we do sometimes put DH's SUV in there when it's cleaned out (when we're not working on or around the house.)
I can't imagine not having a garage!

Oversized 2 car attached. My car is on one side and DH has his tools and work area on the other side. His PU is too long otherwise we'd have that in there as well. It's great for loading kids in the car in bad weather

2 car attached. Originally went we looked at houses we didn't care about a garage. Now that we have one (especially attached to the house) we can't imagine not having one. It's so nice not to have to clean snow off or go out in the rain, etc. We got spoiled.

One car attached. I had my car in there untill all the materials for my house renovation went in there. Now it's storage for all the stuff we moved out of the house to do the renovations.  I want my garage back since the cold weather is coming.

2 car attached. I have a hi-ranch. It's so full of DH's tools and benches, we don't have room for our cars. Even if we did have room, I don't think my Envoy would fit (the ceilings are so low).

No  I have tentative plans to eventually build a 2 car garage with a small bathroom in there. My nextdoor neighbor has a 1/2 bath, and it is very convenient. If you are doing the "pee-pee dance" in the car, you can use the garage bathroom and leave the kids in the car, since you are only 3 feet away. When the kids get older, and have friends over, they can use the garage bathroom. If you're muddy outside, you don't have to traipse through the house.
Neighbor had a block party at his house, and nobody had to go through his house for the bathroom. They just used the garage bathroom.

We have a two car detached garage, pretty large. We use it so much. We enter through a side door from our yard and it really helps with privacy in tight lot neighborhoods.
Also, We have a million things stored in there, and one car. So we use the one side for storage, teh other for the car.'
We also have a 17 foot retractable awning off of it, where we have our patio furniture under and it really helps soften the look of the garage and make it feel very functional.
I really would not want to buy a home with less than 2 car garage after this. I am a big fan of the garage kept car for so many reasons, mostly after being spoiled with having that for hte last 4 years. I love it when it is very hot or cold out, rain or snow, it just makes life so much easier.
My next home I would love the garage in the house or attached...a 2 car attached garage...next home for sure.

We have one car attached where DH's weekend car stays. It does come in handy though bc even with the car in there, we can still store things.
We do wish we had a 2 car garage so I could get my truck in there.

our house does not have a garage, most homes in this neighborhood don't I guess because it was a summer community for many years.
The garage was on or list as a "must have" but we got alot of other things with this house & we have a huge basement & two seperate attics for storage.
We already had the plans drawn for the garage & we are building it in the spring.
DH really wants a motorcycle or a sports car & we need a garage first.
