When I saw this in the catalog, I kept going back to it, trying to decide if I thought it was cute or inappropriate. I'm still not sure. I've never put a 2 piece on my DD who will be 4 this year. I may this year since she is now potty trained. I didn't even put a tankini on her before b/c I would put a swimmy diaper on her when she went swimming. And there is just something wrong with a diaper sticking out from under a bathing suit bottom! For this reason, I'd never get that ladybug bathing suit even if I thought it was cute. When DDs get bigger, I don't ever want them in bikinis, but as babies, IDK, it is kind of cute.

Personally, I like tankinis for little girls. Where some can be "cute" they're just not for me. I actually find that lady bug one to be ugly anyway.

good point, a topless toddler wouldn't bother me at all, but one in this bathing suit would. 
I agree, a topless toddler I couldn't care about..something about this bikini while it's a cute "concept" is just strange for a little girl...

I think 2 pieces on BABIES are adorable -and I usually love (again, on BABIES) when their clothes look like mini versions of 'grown up' clothes - b/c on a BABY it's still so innocent so it's cute - but that is just inappropriate.

I would not put that on DD.
I don't like two pieces on little girls in general.
I would not put it on DD either....she does, however have a 2 piece that she wears to swim class but the top is a halter tankini, NOT a bikini top

For some reason, that bathing suit top doesn't sit well with me. And I don't really have anything against little girls wearing 2 pieces or even being topless as another poster said. Maybe its the shape of each lady bug, don't know.

i do think its not the most appropriate bating suit ive ever seen BUT i guess im the minority when i say i think its adorable! i have a picture of myself when i was about 1 in a bathing suit exactly like this one but it was goldfish instead of ladybugs so i could see myself buying that
OMG I was thinking the same thing!! I had a bikini with goldfish tops too and I have pics- its probably the same one!!!

I don't like bikinis on little girls (or maybe just my little girl, it doesn't bother me when other people do it). I don't like the ladybugs, I think it's inappropriate.
Dd does wear tankinis for the bathroom issue. She swims at school, and parents were told girls have to wear 2 pieces. Probably for the potty issue.

not inappropriate at all. it reminds me of the ones my cousins and i wore as babies. i have pics of them and they looked so cute!
if it were a 10 year old, that's a different story. but a baby, very cute!

Not inappropriate at all... for a baby it's cute. Maybe for a girl a little older like 9 or older.
Not a fan of the suite though. I do love 2 pieces on a baby.
