It doesnt bother me that much but I wouldn't buy it personally. Not even so much for the sexual connotations but mostly for the fact that I like her to be more covered up when she is out in the sun and don't want her to get sunburned.

I do see my niece and her friends wearing bikinis and they are 7 and 8, and I find that more inappropriate than a baby wearing a bathing suit like the one posted.

Nah, but then again it wouldn't bother me if a little girl had no top on at the beach either

good point, a topless toddler wouldn't bother me at all, but one in this bathing suit would. Chat Icon

yeah, me too...weird, but that little suit just seems so not right.

Am I terrible person for thinking it's not that bad?

Glad to be a boy mommy. Buy a pair of trunks and call it a day.

I was looking at the shirt top thinking what's the problem with that....

THEN I SAW THE BIKINI TOP PORTION OF IT....

Are you frickin kidding me??????????????

I will not NO WAY NO HOW put Kristina in a bikini like that... I will put her in 2 piece bathing suits, but the top has to be more of a shirt.

Guess I'm in the minority- I think its adorable!!Chat Icon

i also think its adorable...id probably buy something like this for my DD as a toddler, its an older pre teen or teenage i think would get negative attention wearing something skimpy like this as IMO, a toddler wearing it i think more people would thnk its cute.

Ok I actually just showed this to DH and he said he would never let her leave the house and if he found out I went behind his back and let her wear it, he'd be ripping mad.

I showed it to DH, who is WAY more lenient than I am, and he was disgusted, and said NO WAY, totally inappropriate.

ETA: He did, however, agree that a topless baby girl/toddler at the beach would not bother him at all.

WHAT?! I am just shocked that they even make something like that!

No way in heck would DD EVER, EVER wear that. Not to mention DH would completely have a stroke and die if he ever saw his little girl in that!

Re: Does anyone else find this bathing suit inappropriate?

would never in a million years put DD in something like that. Not that DH would ever let me if I wanted to. I am not a fan of 2 pieces for babies anyway. Plus DD is so fair, she needs the whole 9 yar

A little off topic, but applying sunblock would be a biitch in this bikini/pastie/showgirl outfit...

Re: Does anyone else find this bathing suit inappropriate?

I think for a tiny, chubby little 6 month old it would be so friggen adorable I would laugh out loud. For anyone over the age of 12 mts, it would start seeming a little weird....

ITA! and I must say I am a little surprised at how strongly against this people are. I think it is completey intended for an infant and does not seem objectified to me at all- IMO

Re: Does anyone else find this bathing suit inappropriate?

I am baffled at how a completely topless baby girl is considered acceptable yet a cute little bikini like this is not. It's for a little baby - what is the fear here? I don't get it.
