nope! shes totally into the "natural" and "organic" stuff... which is ok, but not for me. she makes all kinds of stuff that i just don't like- thank God Dh grew up hating her cooking too so he doesnt' mind making "normal" stuff Chat Icon

OMG yes!!! Unfortunately, I don't get to have it very often at all since she lives out of state.

Re: Do you like your MIL's cooking?

My MIl has cooked for us like maybe twice. She never cooks! they go out to eat all the time. They also live upstate. I did steal her trick to make the BEST garlic bread ever! Melt the butter and brush it on instead of spreading hard butter

Seriously, I like her cooking but I like a little variety as well so I will cook to change things up.

Re: Do you like your MIL's cooking?

She's not bad... they live upstate so we don't get to sample her cooking often, but when we do it's not bad.

She says she's cooked when she brings in food and reheats it.

Re: Do you like your MIL's cooking?

Her cooking is ok, nothing great but edible. I have an Italian mother and she can cook, so I am used to that. I don't know how to cook at all though, so I can't talk about MIL's cooking when I am just as bad.

Re: Do you like your MIL's cooking?

Not really!!! Her food has no flavor & she likes to cook a lot of items I don't eat! I usually come home & grab something out of my own fridge!

It's okay Chat Icon not great. She only knows how to make the basic recipes: meatloaf, meatballs, and chicken cutlets. Her SO does the barby. Our first Thanksgiving together, I had to give her instructions on how-to roast the Bird.

Re: Do you like your MIL's cooking?

She's an amazing, gifted cook. I adore her chicken cutlets (i wish you could all try them, they are amazing...mmm...) and her Italian is true to the old recipes. She's really good.

Me on the other hand --- I make a mean meatloaf but I truly dislike any household activities. :)
