Do you check your receipts when you leave the store?

I usually don't but I have been realizing that I am not getting credit for advertised shelf deals. I was at target yesterday and bought paper towels for $18.99. There was a huge sign that stated the towels were $14.99, which is what drew me to the shelf in the first place.

Do you go back for these types of price adjustments?

I noticed it when I got to the car. I didn't think $4 was worth waiting in line at customer service.

I generally try to check the screens when things are scanned, so I can bring it to the cashier's attention...
But if I don't .. I don't usually check my receipt either..

I wouldn't have waited on line for $4 either!

In theory, I'd love to but in practice, it's kind do hard when I'm trying to get a one year old back in her jacket, juggle all the bags, etc.

I really do try to keep any eye on the items as they are being rung up though, especially when I know I have sale items in my cart.

I watch them like a hawk when they scan stuff and I also check the receipt quickly at the register. Haha the cashier probably hates me but I always feel when I buy sale items at least 1 doesn't ring up that way!

I watch everything as it's getting scanned in.

I watch them scan. I look at the receipt if the total is higher than I thought it would be.

I watch the scan and then quickly scan my receipt before I leave the store.

i calculate in my head what everything in my cart is. I also pick the line with a person ahead of me that has groceries still on the belt, that way I have time to put my stuff on and watch the screen as soon as the cashier starts scanning.

i try to check when it scans
i had an issue with paper towels at target too a few months ago but i noticed when they scanned
problem is, their signs are not always properly placed. the sale sign was in front of a display so i grabbed them and went to pay but it was a few $$ more then the sign. the cashier came over with me to look at the display and said the sign reads bounty xxx but the items on display were bounty some other size/count. they did help me find the ones that were on sale and moved the sign
so the point of my rambling, is it may not be worth it in this case unless you still have the paper towels and are certain its the right one that's on sale

Yes I always check my receipts and I watch the screen as items are scanned. If it rings up the wrong price I make them adjust it. $4.00 in my pocket is much better than Targets!

I would go back next time I was in Target and get my $4. I do this all the time when I forget to give the cashier coupons. It only takes a minute and the customer service people never see to mind. I think they have WAY more annoying people to deal with.

I watch the screen as they scan, but very rarely do I check my receipt.

I just went back to kohls the other day because I realized when I got home that I didn't get the. Buy one get 50% off yankee candles... So yes, I went back for $8 and picked up something else I needed that turned out to be the same price so I feel like I "saved"

this reminds me when the cashier rang up my ONE piece of turkey breast for 97$! since then, I will not be on my phone while they are ringing me up!

I do check the screen, last week I was at shop and shop and they had the six packs of soda for 5 for $11, of course it didn't come up on the register so the cashier took it off after she had someone look at the shelf. I do feel terrible whenever I hold up the line.

I watch the screen AND scan my receipts just in case. And I've totally gone to customer service for refunds less than $1. Mistakes happen and it can all add up!

I don't do it consistently. However, my mom does and I kid you not she has at least one item every time she goes that does not ring up on sale. She waits for them to adjust regardless of the amount.

That adds up for the store big time!!!!

I skim through the receipt if I am food shopping since that receipt is the longest, but I do try my best to keep my eyes on the screen. I would have definitely gone back for $4.00, even $1.00. If I am clothes shopping, I will review my receipt, especially if I used a coupon or if I purchased sale items.

I need to. Just the other day, Fairway charged me for 2 packages of blueberries (only bought 1), didn't ring up the sale price for coconut oil (almost 4 dollar difference) and something else. I didn't notice until I got home. What could I do? I need to get into the habit because it all adds up.

I always watch when items are scanned then check my receipt. If i feel something wasnt rung up right i go back to the aisle to check and then go to customer service if it was wrong
