Re: Do u have a garbage can in your bathroom?
I have one in each bathroom.
If I have guests over I clean the bathroom after they leave. Any garbage they left behind gets taken out the next day.
I can't stand when bathrooms don't have a wastebasket.

I think you'd have to be an idiot to flush a feminine pad down the toilet. When I go somewhere and have AF, I usually take my purse into the bathroom. And so if I used pads, I would wrap them in the plastic pouch they come in and then wrap in paper and then put it in my purse until I could discreetly dispose of it in the garbage downstairs. Who wants a stinky pad festering all day in a garbage can in the small bathroom. Rather have it in the larger bag with all the other stuff. How is carrying it out any more disgusting than throwing it into the small garbage that someone will then have to empty and thus may see what you threw in there? At least in the bigger garbage you just take the whole bag outside, no seeing what's there. To each his own but no garbage in my bathroom now or ever.
Sorry but this is gross....I can't imagine putting a used pad in my purse, nevermind expecting my guests to do that. We have a small pail that matches the decor that gets emptied practically every night.

Little J Mommy - i agree with you completely.
And I never bring my purse to the bathroom unless i'm in a restaurant... and they have garbage cans so any feminine products never go in my bag!! I couldn't imagine having guests do this either.
Aside from the fact that I still wrap the feminine products in toilet paper before putting in the small bathroom garbage can so no one can see it anyway. AND the bathroom garbage can is much smaller than the kitchen one, so it gets disposed of more often than the kitchen. If I threw it in the kitchen then it would be sitting there in the same room that holds the food we eat and for a longer period of time too since that garbage can is substantially larger.
I absolutely cannot get on board with the logic behind carrying around a dirty pad in your bag and prance over to the kitchen with it to throw in the kitchen garbage and then expect guests to follow suit!!! it's just absurd to me!!!!

I think we should ban toilets from the bathroom too. Those things are GROSS. Do you KNOW the kind of things people leave in a toilet? The germs that can ensue?
I make my guests poop in the woods behind my house...
I must say... I normally don't tell DH the things that go on on LIF or LIW... I just don't think he cares.
But after reading your specific post and literally cracking up out loud I had to tell him all about this thread. he was rolling!! soooo funny!!
thank you soo much for this!!! i needed this laugh!!!
