Bathroom Pictures!
Before: I don't have many before pictures of the bathroom because it is long and narrow and so hard to get pictures of it. This is a picture of the prevoius owners vanity and medicine cabinet.
The walls were fake rock paneling and then sink, toilet bowl, and bath tub were pink. The tiles in the shower were pink also. They had white wood paneling on the ceiling. This picture was from the hallway outside of the bathroom, but it was the same paneling... just to show you how hideous:
I wish I had more pictures to show you all how ugly it was in there.. but Ray gutted it one day without warning. Here are the pictures:

So here is a summary of what we did!
We raised the ceiling to a cathedral ceiling. We added a skylight. We closed up the window in the shower. Around that window the wood was rotten so we replaced the all the wood below the window. We added a shelf along the whole top of the bathroom which has track lighting on a dimmer. We replaced all the plumbing and recessed it into the wall (we orignally had a double wall there) so that gave us a like 6 more inches! We replaced the old fashioned radiator with baseboard. We tiled the floor, and up the walls all the way to the ceiling. We had 2 shelves built into the wall of the shower, one high one and one low one. We got a tub with Jets and glass doors. The shower head is on a bar so we can slide it up or down as needed (Ray is tall so he wanted this). The we got a toilet bowl, sink, long vanity cabinet with a long mirrored medicine cabinet. We also put a cabinet about the toilet bowl for extra storage. And of course a new light fixture.
What we have left to do it hang up a towel bar on the wall and hang up the toilet paper holder.

AND I have a question: when we were about to move into an apartment my aunt bought us this set for the bathroom. DO you think it matches? The brown swirls match the listello tiles, and I think the pruple flowers addd some color. What do you think? You can see I have 2 matching pieces on the sink also.

eta...but i do not like the rug..I agree it brings in color but it just doesn't seem to fit to me.

Hey.... It looks great - I have to post pics of mine too - I think we have the same light fixture and medicine cabinet... and I have the same vanity except mine is a bit smaller - only one side with drawers....
Its looks GREAT.....

YES! I cannot wait to use the tub. I have not been in a bath tub since last summer when I lived with my mom.
It is also good for using the bathroom at night, when you don't want the bright lights on.
