Crazy lady in restaurant!
DH and I took 4 month old DS to a restaurant in Queens for dinner tonight. An older lady (probably in her 60's?) sitting at a nearby table waiting for her party.
She calls out to us, "It's pretty cool in here, put a blanket on the baby, SHE'LL be cold".
First of all, DS does NOT look like a girl, but whatever. DH and I look at each other like  and say, "um, ok thanks".
About 10 minutes go by, the woman keeps getting out of her seat to see if the rest of her party has arrived. She walks over to DS who was in his stroller eating his hands.
Lady: "How old is she?"
Me: "It's a he. HE is 4 months old"
Lady: "Looks like she's teething"
Me: "mm-hmm" (just exchanging DH looks and trying to end the conversation without being too rude because we're trying to eat our appetizer)
Lady: "You know what you need to do? You need to put some ouzo in her mouth. Give her some ouzo"
Me: "I'll keep that in mind"
Our dinners were out now, and her party STILL hadn't arrived. She comes over yet again.
Lady (to DS): "Hey there pretty girl!"
Me: to DH, and DS starts fussing in his stroller. This wackadoo then proceeds to REACH INTO HIS STROLLER AND TRIES TO PICK HIM UP!!!!!
I completely froze up, couldn't believe she was actually trying to grab DS without asking!!! DH thankfully stopped her by saying "Don't pick him up, we're trying to get him to sleep" so instead she starts rocking his stroller back and forth 
The rest of her party showed up and she sat down and pretty much behaved herself the rest of the time we were there. I couldn't believe that happened...DH and I just kept looking at each other in shock. Some people are just plain crazy!

I know! DH and I couldn't believe it! At first we just thought she was rude but then she went and got all psycho on us. I didn't even include the part when she was calling her friends who were late and talking all loud on the phone:
"EVA?! EVA?! Oh sorry! Wrong number!" or when she barreled through a group of people who were just being seated and were trying to get situated at their table by saying, "You can't just stand there and block the path!!"

Given her age and the fact that she suggested Ouzo I'm thinking a lot probably had to do with culture. I'm sure she meant to harm. Maybe she was hard of hearing being she didn't get the fact that your "she" is a HE 
I think older people mean well but don't realize how crazy them come across. I could totally see my mom trying to pick up a stranger's crying baby

I would've gone off the deep end with that lady and told her to sit her *** down and stop bothering my family! lol

I was thinking the same exact thing! I'm surprised they showed up at all. Maybe they are just as nutty as she is.
