I only hope he can cope with what will be. he has signficant issues. God give him the strength to overcome.

He is astounding the doctors. The medication they have him on is helping. He is a fighter. As long as he has the fight, he will be fine.
I have to make sure that my optimism stays in check. he may have days that are not good either. Like this weekend he was a mess.
They will sit him in a chair in the next day or so. That will probably make him feel more oriented. I bet it will be hard sitting in a chair for the first time for any prolonged period.
It will be a struggle, but it looks very good from here.

What wonderful news!! He is definitely coming back and strong!!
In my completley unmedical opinion, most recovery is based on attitude. It sounds like your brother has a great attitude and will be fine. My sister was a physical therapist at RUSK (now she is a stay at home mom), so if there is anythign I Can do- please let me know.
Please do keep us updated.

WOW.... For him to be able to respond by pointing and nodding his head is a wonderful step. He is fighting to recover from all of this.
Stay positive even when you don't want to be. He will need that. You will continue to be in our prayers.

Holy crap folks. Holy crap! My brother is coming back to us. I hope he has the desire to live his life..it's going to be a hard road.
Your posts are bringing tears to my eyes....I cannot imagine how this must be for you & I am amazed at your strength & perseverence.
