My ex-sister in law (his ex) and his sons saw him tonight. They said he wanted to talk so badly and he was pointing to his trach tube. He responded to them and when they said goodbye for the last time they were at the doorway and he waved goodbye! He waved!!!!!! His son asked him if he wanted to watch something and he shook his head no. His sister in law went this afternoon and he pointed to his leg. (he knows) She said I know and don't worry because you can get around..it will be up to you. He nodded. The Psychiatrist saw him today and adjusted his meds. he said that the meds are helping him and he is doing better.
I'm tell you, Fred is in there...Fred is fighting..he's got a ways to go but he is in there. My bro is coming back!!!
I can't wait to see him tomorrow. I'm going to tell him how taking his leg saved his life and how much we are pulling for him. I'm going to tell him that mom and dad are coming and we are so proud of him getting through all this crap.
Holy crap folks. Holy crap! My brother is coming back to us. I hope he has the desire to live his life..it's going to be a hard road.
Thank you for your prayers. They are working. Please keep them coming. Please tell everyone you will listen to pray for this man.

Just don't despair if progress does not speed up. The advances that he just made can actually be exhausting for him!!!!!

This is wonderful news!!! Fred is coming back. You're right- it will be a long road. But with you and others at his side, he'll get through it!!!! You can always post about your brother- it's never too much!
